The best recommendation depends on the homeowner.

Choose natural wood when authentic material and natural variation are part of the vision.

Consider DURA-EEZ when they want wood-inspired aesthetics with lower maintenance and greater resistance to the elements.

The best sales conversation isn't about pushing a material. It's about finding the right fit.

"It's for someone who loves the look of a custom wood garage door, but doesn't love what comes with maintaining one."

That's the conversation.

DURA-EEZ™ isn't trying to make wood obsolete. It gives homeowners another premium option.

A custom opening deserves a door designed around it.

This modified WOODLAND-25A Garage Door was crafted in Red Grandis with a custom arched opening that gives the design a distinctive architectural profile. Vertical natural wood panels emphasize the door’s height, while the sweeping upper arch adds character without losing the clean structure of the WOODLAND design.

Built with Great Northern Door’s insulated natural wood construction, this 9'1" x 8' garage door shows how custom sizing, natural materials, and thoughtful detailing can come together in one cohesive design.

Luxury isn't defined by using the most traditional material.

It's about choosing the right material.

DURA-EEZ combines architectural design, wood-inspired texture and advanced composite performance for homeowners who want their garage door to look exceptional without committing to traditional wood maintenance.

Better materials create better options.

That's exactly the idea behind our DURA-EEZ® split-species entry doors.

DURA-EEZ™ composite on the exterior provides durability where the door faces the elements.

Natural wood on the interior brings warmth and authentic character into the home.

Exterior performance. Interior beauty.

Why choose one when the project calls for both?

Clean lines. Distinctive diagonal detailing. Color that works with your home.

The Loch-25 DURA-EEZ™ Paintable Garage Door combines architectural character with the durability of Great Northern Door’s alternative composite construction. Its upper windows add natural light, while the paintable exterior gives homeowners, builders, and designers greater flexibility to coordinate the garage door with the overall exterior palette.

Designed to resist water, stains, splitting, and rot, DURA-EEZ brings the look and feel of wood to a lower-maintenance garage door option.

It's rarely one thing.

Proportion. Material. Panel layout. Window placement. Finish. Hardware. How the design relates to the rest of the home.

Premium design happens when those decisions work together.

Natural wood brings a character all its own.

This 9' x 8' WOODLAND-25 garage door is crafted in Red Grandis, showcasing warm tones, natural grain variation, and the strong vertical lines of the WOODLAND design. The substantial rails and stiles give the door a classic architectural presence while keeping the overall look clean and versatile.

Every natural wood door has its own variations in grain, color, and texture—making each finished piece distinctly individual.
