We’re hosting a free event this Thursday! Sip local w**e as Ann Gish’s design team shows the entire “MET X Ann Gish” collection at the store.

Enjoyable for all interior design enthusiasts, and is also an official CEU credit for designers.

This collection is a favorite because each piece draws direct inspiration from a specific piece in the Metropolitan Museum. We have three pieces at the moment, seen in the video, but we’re excited to see more and hear the stories behind them!

Eiderdown is the softest and highest insulating down in the world. It’s carefully collected directly from Eider nests in small portions without harming or disturbing the birds.

It is light in weight and becomes warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Its insulating capacity is so advanced that it even adjusts to the temperature of the person under the duvet.

While Eiderdown tests at 700 loft, its unique high density and cling make it insulate at a much higher rate.

Many consider it more efficient than an 1000 loft down.

Eiderdown is down that comes from wild Eider ducks.

These ducks live and nest in arctic and subarctic coastal marine areas. Female Eider ducks carefully pluck down from their breasts and use it to build their nests.

Eiderdown is carefully collected directly from Eider nests in small portions without harming or disturbing the birds. Proceeds from the collection and sale of Eiderdown contribute to Eider habitat protection to ensure the birds have a safe place to nest each year.

Each piece is sewn by hand in small batches, right down to the ties, cuffs, and trims. It’s then carried a short walk to a family-owned dye house that Bella Notte has trusted for more than twenty years.
