Breathtaking views deserve a place to take them in… The architecture and build of the Vineyard Retreat shine outdoors, and we were delighted to furnish these spaces for care-free living. Gather for alfresco dining, lounge with friends, soak up the sun poolside, or even partake in a rowdy game of corn hole on the lawn. There’s plenty of seating for everyone!

The Vineyard Retreat, continued… With inviting shared spaces and luxe sleeping quarters, every room in this home was made for comfort. Reclining sectionals invite everyone to settle in, textured rugs ground each gathering space, and original art from local talent sets a calm, relaxing mood. Our clients chose fabrics they loved, and those choices shaped the warm color palette throughout. The result is a home that feels familiar from the moment you walk through the door.

A stellar architect, an accomplished builder, the ideal client* and those breathtaking views… The Vineyard Retreat has it all and we were thrilled to bring custom furniture, art and accessories to every glorious space.

The homeowners asked for inviting shared spaces, luxe sleeping quarters, and care-free outdoor living. We collaborated on each pattern, texture and function in the home – from comfortable reclining sectionals to durable dishware. Fabrics that resonated with the clients inspired personality and a warm color palette throughout. Original art from local talent draws the eye and inspires calm and relaxation. Textured area rugs beautifully ground each gathering space. We encouraged alfresco dining, lounging or laying in the sun poolside with plenty of seating for everyone!

(*Our definition of the “ideal client” is one who is inquisitive and honest, decisive with feedback, and collaborative with selections, then trusts us to execute the plan and deliver a home that’s familiar and comfortable the moment they walk through the door.)

In the original 1970s layout, a central staircase cut right through the main floor. We moved it, and the living area opened up with space to gather and room to take in those lake views.

Then we turned our attention to an empty wall. It's now home to custom walnut built-ins and a textured asymmetrical fireplace. It's warm and a little unexpected, and it's become the heart of the room.

Look through the images to see how it all started.

When we started dreaming up this 1970s Lake Oswego fixer with our client, one of the boldest ideas was moving the kitchen entirely. The spot where it used to be is now a light-filled home office, with lake views that make it hard to call it work.

Swipe to see the before!

A home is meant to be lived in, not just looked at.

At Westwood Farmhouse, our team worked to revive the family's decades-old farmhouse, with room for everything that makes up real life: big gatherings, slow Sunday mornings, and the happy mess of a kitchen that says "welcome, and let's eat!"

The wall between the kitchen and living room came down, and a bright gathering room took its place. The deep seating and soft textures invite long conversations. The wool rugs are tough enough for farm life. And the fireplace mantel was carved from a tree felled on the property, with the homeowner's own artwork displayed above it.

We welcomed Interior Designer Mari Hosti to the studio in August!

Mari grew up immersed in the world of design, with an architect and interior designer for a mother and an early appreciation for the way thoughtful spaces can shape how people live and feel. Her career has taken a similarly people-centered path, from the w**e industry, to tech, then designing short-term rentals and vacation homes before transitioning into full-service residential interior design.

Mari has a natural eye for space planning, color, texture, and layering, and loves creating homes that feel warm, comfortable, and deeply personal while honoring the architecture and functioning beautifully for everyday life. A relationship-builder at heart, she genuinely loves getting to know her clients and believes the best interiors come from understanding not only how someone wants their home to look, but how they want to live in it.

Outside of the studio, Mari is happiest spending time with her husband Anthony and kids, Cecilia, Soren and Sage, gardening and doing floral design, dancing, brunching, and drinking rosé on the patio with a stack of magazines.

"The magic happens when there’s a magnetic connection between the art and my client - their eyes light up. This is when we know the piece is right and we begin to welcome it into the home."

The kitchen in this Caldera Springs home is warm, natural, and made for gathering.

Woven leather counter stools encourage lounging and conversation and greenery placed throughout the space invites the outdoors in.
