We recently joined Fort Bend County ESD No. 4 and members of the Fulshear Simonton Fire Department to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new fire station in the heart of Fulshear's Historic District!

The station will bring modern facilities and expanded capabilities to the department while incorporating architectural details inspired by the community's history. Beyond supporting the firefighters who serve Fulshear every day, the station will also welcome future generations through educational tours and opportunities to learn more about the fire service.

We're looking forward to seeing this one come to life! In the meantime, explore more Fire + EMS projects here.

A major milestone for Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport! ✈️

United Airlines' new Terminal B North Concourse is officially open! Designed by PGAL, the 765,000-square-foot facility introduces 22 new gates, Houston-inspired dining and art, expanded passenger amenities, and the largest airline club in the Americas.

As the centerpiece of United's $2.6 billion IAH Terminal B Transformation Program, the new concourse marks an exciting step forward for the airport and the millions of travelers who pass through it each year.

It was great to celebrate this milestone alongside the teams who helped bring it to life, including Brandon Fair, Vice President of Corporate Real Estate at United Airlines and Jason Fuller, Vice President at Manhattan Construction Group.

The next stop for our PGAL 80th Anniversary Give Back Days brought our LA team to the tarmac at Long Beach Airport for Special Olympics Southern California’s 14th Annual Plane Pull.

Teams of 25 took to the runway with one goal: pull a massive airplane 12 feet as fast as possible. More than a test of strength, the Plane Pull brings the community together to raise critical funds for Southern California athletes.

Thank you to Special Olympics Southern California for an unforgettable day and the chance to come together for such a great cause!

Libraries aren't quite what they used to be, and that's a good thing!

Public libraries have undergone a pretty remarkable transformation, and PGAL's work over the years offers a great look at just how much has changed.

Compare the Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Library in Alexandria, Virginia, with the Traphene Hickman Library in Cedar Hill, Texas. What was once largely centered around accessing information has evolved into an entirely different experience. Today's libraries are part classroom, part creative studio, part cultural destination, and a whole lot of community gathering space.

The Traphene Hickman Library takes that idea even further, bringing makerspaces, a digital media lab, museum exhibits, event spaces, and even a café together under one roof.

Our latest design challenge didn't involve an airport, school, or office. It started with one simple request: outer space.

As part of PGAL's 80th Anniversary Give Back Days, our San Diego team partnered with Habitat for Humanity of San Diego to design, build, and decorate a custom children's playhouse for a local veteran family.

Inspired by an outer space theme, the team transformed the playhouse into a destination for adventure. The exterior drew inspiration from the iconic X-wing starfighter, while the interior featured colorful aliens, planets, a hand painted star filled sky, and imaginative details designed to spark years of exploration.

The project was part of Habitat for Humanity of San Diego's Playhouse Program, which brings together volunteers and community partners to create imaginative play spaces while supporting local families.

For our team, it was an opportunity to put our professional skills to work in a playful way. What began as a simple design challenge quickly became sketches, drills, paint, and plenty of creative brainstorming, proving that thoughtful design has the power to bring people together and create lasting memories

PGAL transformed a one-mile stretch of Wilcrest Drive in Houston with major roadway and drainage improvements that address chronic flooding, improve mobility, and create safer connections for drivers and pedestrians.

From upgrades beneath the roadway to a better experience at street level, the completed project makes Wilcrest work better for the community that uses it every day.

As part of our PGAL 80th Anniversary Give Back Days, our Dallas-Fort Worth team rolled up their sleeves alongside Our Helping Hearts to prepare sandwiches for neighbors in need.

It was a simple way to make a difference and a reminder that small acts, done together, can have a big impact.

Through its mission of serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, Our Helping Hearts continues to make a meaningful difference throughout the community, and we were grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand.

The BWI Hilton (2006) and The Dalton (coming soon) may not look like they have much in common, and that’s exactly the point.

From a full-service airport hotel at BWI to a boutique destination in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, our hospitality work has never been about one look or one type of experience. Each project is shaped by its setting, the people it welcomes, and a strong sense of place, creating spaces that feel authentic to where they are and memorable to those who visit.

80 years in, our approach continues to evolve alongside the way people travel, gather, and connect, while looking ahead to what guests will value next.

Our PGAL 80th Anniversary Give Back Days continued in Denver with Food Bank of the Rockies!

Our team spent the day packing bags of food that will be distributed through local schools for students to take home over the weekend. By the time we wrapped up, 1,700 bags were packed and ready to go.

Thank you to Food Bank of the Rockies for welcoming our team and for the important work you do throughout the community. We’re grateful to celebrate 80 years with another day spent giving back.
