Allison Jaffe Interior Design AWARD WINNING AUSTIN INTERIOR DESIGN
AUSTIN, TEXAS

Where smart interior design combines imaginatio When there’s paperwork to fill out, she does so promptly.

In every project, Allison’s design philosophy adheres to the same guiding principles. Collaboration
Allison’s expertise is in taking her clients’ unique ideas and needs and turning them into concrete plan that a contractor can actually work with -- and that the client will love, too. She is a design guide, drawing from her client’s culture, passions and life experiences to create a space that does far more than meet functional requirements. Rather, the finished project is an expression of the client’s personality and deepest values. From the first meeting to the last, Allison’s design process is every bit a collaborative effort to create her clients’ vision of their ideal space. Integrity
With Allison, it’s simple: when clients call, she calls back. Allison is more than a creative; she is a solid, business-oriented person who doesn’t get lost in the details. She is a communicator, and is entirely fluid in contractor-ese, so there is no room for misinterpretation in a contractor’s execution of a design. Clients trust her and her team implicitly from day one to handle the many organizational complexities of a remodel, renovation, or new construction project. Smart Design
Possessing a unique grasp of both form and function, Allison begins her design process by thinking about how her clients will use their redesigned space. Storage, flow, and lighting requirements -- all of these come first as Allison sets the scope of the project, creates demo plans, and considers the potential and limitations of the existing floor plans. In this way, working with Allison is like engaging an architect, with a talented design eye that will help her clients fully embrace -- and enjoy -- the process. At Allison Jaffe Interior design, imagination and practicality combine for unparalleled results. Allison Jaffe holds a Bachelor’s of Science from University of Pittsburgh in Neuropsychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Interior Design from Texas State University. She is a Texas Registered Interior Designer ( #11034) and a Professional Member of the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID). Her accolades include twelve prestigious awards in residential design and an Austin Under 40 award. In addition to her dedication to interior design, Allison is an active member of the Austin community and plays a strong role in fundraising and leadership.

If you have a passion for antiques and you’re sleeping on Round Top, wake up! But if you go here are two rules of thumb: buy your self a little keep sake if you’re not buying furniture and always stop at Royers for some heavenly pie. 🥧 Enjoy!

Everyone wants custom until they hear the lead time.

I get it. We’re used to things showing up the next morning. But your stone is a slab we picked out for you, and your sofa is being built by hand by someone I trust. None of it is sitting in a warehouse with your name on it.

That’s why it takes months. Nobody is rushing it, and nobody is phoning it in. The other option is picking from what’s already made, and then your entry looks like your neighbor’s.

Patience isn’t a tax on luxury design. It’s the whole point.

I love the story behind this fireplace. Our client saw a fireplace in a historic hotel she stayed in and we tracked down the tile manufacturer that was still making this tile pattern. Although the wait was long to receive the tile, the results were worth it. Paid with some of our clients antique art and furniture, we were so happy to incorporate her vision.

Most rooms don’t fail because of one bad chair. They fail because nothing in them is talking to each other.

I’ve walked into so many homes where every piece was beautiful on its own, and the space still felt off. Unsettled. Like it was waiting for something. That feeling almost always comes back to the same five things: a clear vision, pieces built to last, a layout that fits how you actually live, light that shifts with your day, and the things that make it yours.

None of it is about chasing a trend. It’s about walking in at the end of a long day and feeling your shoulders drop.

Swipe through for the five I come back to on every project. Save it for the next time a room just isn’t sitting right.
