October 29th is National Cat Day, a day set aside to celebrate our feline family members! Senior living communities can make this day "purrfect" for their cat-loving residents and staff with pet-friendly celebrations:

🐾Arrange a pop-up store with pet toys and supplies
🐾Invite residents to post pictures of their cats on social media
🐾Share stories about living in a pet-friendly community
🐾Partner with a local shelter for a feline vaccine clinic

Pets can help seniors reduce feelings of loneliness, provide a sense of purpose, encourage daily routines, and bring connection. At Pi Architects, we know your community is home, and that includes designing welcoming spaces for our four-legged family members (or two-legged ones, if your companion happens to have feathers!)
