I gravitate toward white w**e pairings for Indian food, but I like to experiment with reds sometimes, too.

The other night I opened a bottle of Fresh A.F., a lively blend of Nero d'Avola and Zibibbo from South Australia.

With crushed red fruit and earthiness on the nose, and raspberry notes on the palate, this light red w**e was a very good match for our takeout from . It was especially good with the chicken tikka masala.

Served with a slight chill, I’d definitely recommend it for your next Indian meal, particularly if you're looking for a red w**e to pair with something other than beef or lamb.

This w**e was another interesting Berman's W**e of the Month Club selection.

We've got a new recipe up on Cooking Chat, inspired by the first meal we had in Barcelona earlier this year!

Our Spanish Pork & Peppers features tender pork tenderloin medallions and lightly blistered shish*to peppers in a flavorful garlic, smoked paprika and white w**e pan sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s an easy skillet dinner that brings some of the delicious flavors of Spain to your home kitchen!

We've enjoyed it with this rosado shown in the photo, as well as a good Garnacha. Find the recipe on the Cooking Chat home page today!

Definitely a pairing of the year contender!

I made a big batch of Bolognese Sunday, blend of pork, beef and mushrooms that I’ve been working to perfect. So good with an excellent 2020 Brunello from Casanova di Neri!

Cheers to some good food & w**e this weekend!

Kept it simple for dinner last night! Takeout mushroom and olive pizza, paired with a Flavium Selección Mencía. This red w**e from Bierzo, Spain, has earthiness like a Pinot Noir, but more robust red fruit and tannins — made it a very good match for the pizza!

I made our London Broil with Mushrooms again last weekend, which gave me a chance to freshen the recipe post with a new w**e pairings and some updated photos. Get the details from the Cooking Chat home page.

This is a great way to enjoy the affordable top round beef cut, which we got in a recent Walden Local Meat delivery. Speaking of affordable, this time we paired the London broil with a Côtes-du-Rhône Villages from Vignoble Lambert. Originally, we paired the recipe with a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Two good options at very different price points!

It's been over six months since our trip to Spain, but opening Spanish w**es and preparing food with Spanish flavors is a great way to keep the tasty memories going!

Just posted “Spanish W**e Pairings Back Home”, highlighting the Spanish w**es and food pairings inspired by the trip. Covering w**es from Priorat, Rioja, Toro and more.

Check it out, and take a virtual visit to Spain via the w**e glass! And perhaps you will be motivated to book a trip there soon, too.

I love experimenting with w**e pairings!

While I do really enjoy cooking a meal to go along with a thoughtfully selected w**e, sometimes it’s nice to do a simple w**e and cheese pairing, no cooking required. I’m gradually building up my base of w**e and cheese pairings we’ve enjoyed.

Today we had some Grillo left over from dinner last night (pesto pizza). I picked up an Alpine style cheese with it - the Pleasant Ridge Reserve from Wisconsin-based Uplands Cheese. Definitely a good pairing! The cow’s milk cheese has some depth and richness to it, contrasted by the zippy acidity of the Grillo.

The olives on the plate were also a nice addition. Test a bit of Manchego on hand with the Grillo, too, but the Pleasant Ridge was the winning pairing.
