At the heart of Eau Claire Athletic Club, this dramatic feature waterfall creates a vertical connection through the main atrium—bringing energy, calm and a memorable sense of arrival to the transformation of Calgary’s former Eau Claire YMCA.

This is only one moment within an extensive 100,000-square-foot renovation and adaptive-reuse project encompassing fitness, wellness, hospitality, recreation and social spaces.

Another reason to celebrate Eau Claire Athletic Club! 🏆

POP Design Group is honoured to receive the 2026 Award of Excellence for Outstanding Architectural Woodwork Design from the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC), Southern Alberta chapter, for Eau Claire Athletic Club.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been sharing the spaces within this transformation of the former Eau Claire YMCA. Custom millwork plays an essential role throughout the club, bringing character, function and continuity to its athletic, hospitality and wellness environments.

A special thank-you to First Choice Millwork, who supplied and installed the architectural millwork, bringing our detailed designs to life with skill and craftsmanship.

Thank you to AWMAC Southern Alberta for this recognition, and to Telsec Properties for the opportunity to create such a memorable project. We’re proud to celebrate this achievement with our team and project partners!

Kabob Garden is an amazing authentic Afghan restaurant we designed in Calgary. The rich colours and patterns influenced by the culture gave us the opportunity to use unique and beautiful finishes and fixtures. The restaurant includes a traditional Afghan private dining room, a banquet area, and catering! A great place to enjoy the traditional dishes of Afghanistan!

Reflecting on our timeless transformation at The Keg, Southpointe! A couple of years later, Pop Design Group's redesign, still exudes a moody elegance, perfect for a classic steakhouse experience.
