Remembering Jan “The Master Gardener” Meeuwsen 🌱

Yesterday was a difficult day for us here at DeBruyn’s.

It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since we lost our dear friend and gardening expert, Jan “The Master Gardener” Meeuwsen. Jan was a familiar voice to so many in West Michigan through her years at DeBruyn Seed and as the host of WHTC’s Garden Party.

Jan shared her incredible knowledge, passion, and love of gardening and pets with countless people, always willing to answer a question or lend a helping hand. She wasn’t just a master gardener—she was a wonderful friend and a special part of our DeBruyn Seed family.

We miss her knowledge, her kindness, her humor, and most of all, Jan herself. Her love of gardening continues to grow in all the people she inspired. 🌷❤️

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful.’ ”
