Six years ago, my daughter graduated high school early because of COVID. She immediately enrolled in esthetician school, and before long, she was moving out and starting a life of her own. ❤️ That year brought so many emotions as I watched my little girl grow up faster than I ever imagined.
Somewhere in the middle of all those changes, I realized I needed a hobby of my own. I signed up for our local Master Gardener course, thinking I would learn more about gardening, specifically vegetables. Little did I know, God had a much bigger plan in mind. 🌱
I finished that course with a new inspiration: growing flowers. And when I say I jumped in with both feet, I mean it! I started buying every packet of flower seeds I could find, along with trays, seed-starting soil, grow lights, shelves, and just about everything in between. That next spring, we planted thousands of flower plugs that I had started from seed the previous winter.
What started as a little hobby during a season of change slowly grew into something I never could have imagined.
Fast forward to September 2026, and I had the absolute privilege of not only growing the flowers but also designing and arranging every single flower for my daughter’s wedding. 🥹💐
Looking back, it’s hard not to see how all the pieces fell into place. What began as a way to fill an empty space in my life turned into a passion, a creative outlet, and ultimately, a way to give my daughter something so incredibly personal and meaningful on one of the biggest days of her life.
