It’s been a little quiet around here… but I’m back!
I know I posted earlier that I wouldn’t be opening a full garden center this summer. After some time to regroup, I’m heading out on a plant run specifically for late summer and fall planting.
Fall is one of the best times to plant in Northern Michigan! Here’s why:
Cooler temperatures mean less stress on new plants
Plants need far less water than they do in the summer heat
Roots have time to get established before winter sets in
You’ll often see stronger growth and better blooms next spring
I’ll be focusing on perennials and shrubs this trip.
What are you looking for?
Drop a comment with any specific perennials or shrubs you’d like me to bring back — fall color, natives, pollinator plants, or anything else on your list.
You can also come see me at the shop soon — more details on hours and availability coming shortly!
Looking forward to hearing from you and helping you get plants in the ground this fall.
