🎨Meet our PROMise Party live artists, Wendy “Exxcecute” Liu and Natasha Dichpan!

From Exxcecute: “Hi, my name is Wendy “Exxcecute” Liu, a Toronto based pop surrealist artist. I am excited to paint for StopGap’s event as an artist with physical disabilities that show through my artwork, it gives me great pleasure in participating in a night to promote more accessible spaces in the city!”

Natasha Dichpan began her artistic training at a young age in Russia, attending art school where she developed a strong foundation in classical drawing and painting. After immigrating to Canada in 2001, exposure to diverse cultures helped shape her artistic perspective. She went on to spend over a decade as a professional animator in film and television, refining her storytelling and composition skills. Today, she is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in live painting and illustration, fine art commissions, large-scale murals, and her personal painting practice.

For the past eight years, Natasha has brought live art to weddings, galas, fashion events, and private celebrations across Canada—creating immersive experiences where guests witness the artwork come to life and leave with a meaningful, handcrafted keepsake.

🎟️ Have you grabbed your tickets to our 10th annual PROMise Party? Don’t miss out on seeing these creatives bring some magic to life at Beyond the Ramp!

A ramp can get someone through a door.

But what happens beyond the ramp?

At a recent event, we asked community members to leave their thoughts on one of our ramps. They didn’t write about ramps.

They wrote about what access makes possible.

“Freedom.”
“Dignity.”
“Unity.”
“Community for all.”
“In it together.”
“Nothing about us without us.”
“Everyone, everywhere, together.”
“Limitless.”

And one person dreamed even bigger:

“Take me to the moon, take me to the cosmos.” 🚀

That’s the idea behind this year’s PROMise Party!

Because accessibility isn’t ultimately about ramps. It’s about where we can go, what we can experience, who we can meet, and what becomes possible when barriers no longer stand in the way.

This year, we’re celebrating the people helping us get there.

Join us for StopGap’s 10th annual fundraiser, featuring the inaugural Beyond the Ramp Awards, and help us keep pushing toward a future where access opens up a world of possibility.

As part of this year’s PROMise Party, the inaugural Beyond the Ramp Awards will celebrate individuals, businesses, organizations, institutions, and school groups demonstrating a meaningful commitment to creating a more accessible and inclusive world.

Maybe they’ve removed barriers. Changed a policy or practice. Designed something differently. Educated or inspired others. Used their voice or influence. Or simply shown, through consistent action, that accessibility doesn’t happen by accident - it happens when we choose to prioritize it.

Help us shine a light on the people modelling what’s possible.

🏆 Introducing the Beyond the Ramp Awards

Accessibility doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people choose to prioritize it.

As part of this year’s PROMise Party: Beyond the Ramp, StopGap Foundation is launching the Beyond the Ramp Awards - recognizing people and organizations that are helping create a more accessible and inclusive world.

We want you to help us find them.

We’re inviting nominations for:

→ Small businesses
→ Nonprofit or grassroots organizations
→ Corporations
→ Institutions
→ School groups

Maybe they’ve removed physical barriers. Changed a policy or practice. Designed something differently. Used their voice or influence. Educated others. Or simply demonstrated, through consistent action, that accessibility belongs at the heart of how we build our communities.

Who do you know who is going Beyond the Ramp?

Nominate someone who deserves to be recognized for their commitment to prioritizing accessibility.
