Cedar Bridge Botanicals A small business looking to help plants everywhere thrive, not just survive!

I am dedicated to helping plants everywhere thrive and proving to the world that there is no such thing as a brown thumb. This includes educating customers on plant care requirements before they purchase the plant from me so they can match the correct plant to their environment at home. I am also dedicated to helping those interested build the perfect bioactive enclosure for their pets by giving suggestions on the best pet safe plants, as well as advice on how to create such an enclosure. While currently I do not have much in the way of outdoor plants, that selection will grow as Cedar Bridge Botanicals does!

On Saturday, a few kids and I had the chance to watch a fly fall into this exact pitcher. It did it all on its own and the kids were asking great questions as I explained to them how the plant works and why this was the goal. Times like this make me so happy, it makes me wonder if I am inspiring a future conservationist, horticulturist, or general nature lover. I will be at Ligonier Country Market for the FIRST time this season on Saturday from 11am-3pm! I have been watching the weather like a hawk, but temps should be fine to bring plants!

I can now say I am an award winning grower! I grew up entering plants, fruits, veggies, and more in the county fair, but this was my first regional competition, as well as my first competition as a professional Horticulturist. I am so proud to say I took home the blue ribbon for the Pinguicula category at the Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society 2026 MACPS Plant Show ! I also took home third in photography for the sundew photo 🥰

It has been a few years since I entered anything in my county fair and I forgot just how much fun I have with this! If anyone knows of plant contests more local to Pittsburgh, please let me know!

Thank you so much to the judges for their time and expertise, to MACPS for putting on an amazing event, and to the Havre de Grace Community Center in Maryland for providing the venue! I've already had a truly amazing weekend and I am still over the moon!
