Proof that this really is my dream job.

I recently found photos of spaces I organized as a newlywed almost 20 years ago, on a shoestring budget. This was before kids, when we had time to build our own built-in bookshelves, DIY remodel our own kitchen, and spend far too long on the smallest details.

And by “smallest details,” I mean painting my mason jar lids with chalkboard paint, then painting the rings different shades of blue. Apparently, simply organizing the spices wasn’t enough.

Even then, I loved finding ways to make our home feel organized, personal, and beautiful using what we had and a little creativity.

Almost 20 years later, I get to bring that same care to other people’s homes through Sort It Out. The signs were there all along.

Cooking is my least favorite chore. Deciding what to cook, finding recipes, and making the grocery list can take longer than the cooking itself.

I created a meal planning project in Claude with my family’s preferences, then use one prompt to plan a few dinners, add the ingredients to my grocery cart, and put the recipes on my calendar. It makes the whole meal prep process so much quicker.
