Honest opinion: Do you prefer the custom cookbook nook on the island, or the subway tile backsplash?

Hey Walnut Creek neighbors! The leaves are officially dropping across the East Bay, and our home inspection team is hard at work.

We took our three "expert supervisors" out to check on the yard and gutters today, and they’ve reached a verdict:

Yorkie (on the left): "This pile of leaves is my official autumn bed. Do not touch."

White dog (middle): "I see you setting up that ladder. I am watching closely."

Fluffy (on the right): "I am here for emotional support and moral encouragement!"

Even though we don't get much rain out here until winter, crisp dry leaves sitting in gutters can still cause issues—from fire safety hazards in dry weather to clogging up the second our first real winter storm finally rolls through. Spending 15 minutes clearing out dry leaves now is much easier than doing it when the winter rains finally hit!

Our wonderful team! Tomorrow we are going out for pizza (which we do periodically) to celebrate someone who has been with us the last 5 years, and someone who just got his General Contractor license. And a remote employee is visiting. Excited!

And the team wouldn't be a team without the pups!
