🚿 Another Bathroom Is Getting an Upgrade in Bellmead, TX!

Some bathtubs have served their purpose, earned their retirement, and are just waiting for somebody to make the call. 😅

Well, this one's officially getting its retirement papers!

We just kicked off another bathroom remodel in Bellmead, Texas, and we're taking this tired old tub-shower combination and giving it a complete transformation.

Take a look at the BEFORE photo and our 3D rendering of what we're working toward!

We're removing the old bathtub and dated tile surround and replacing everything with a beautiful, modern custom walk-in shower.

Here's what we have planned:

🔨 Complete removal of the old bathtub and surround

🚿 Custom walk-in shower with a fully sealed waterproof shower system

🧱 Large-format wall tile for a clean, timeless design with fewer grout lines

✨ Oversized built-in shower niche across the back wall for plenty of storage

🚪 Beautiful frameless glass shower enclosure

🚿 Rain-style showerhead with a separate handheld shower for added convenience

🔧 Updated shower plumbing, fixtures, and controls

Our goal with this bathroom is pretty simple: Make it look amazing, make it easier to maintain, and make sure what's BEHIND the tile is built just as well as what you can see!

Because a pretty shower is great… but a pretty shower that doesn't leak into your walls is even better! 😅

One thing we love about this design is how we're mixing classic colors with a more modern tile layout. It's clean, bright, and elegant without going overboard on trends that might look dated in a few years.

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we specialize in bathroom remodeling, tub-to-shower conversions, custom walk-in showers, waterproof shower systems, tile installation, frameless glass showers, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, countertops, and home remodeling throughout Waco, Bellmead, Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Temple, Belton, Lorena, and surrounding Central Texas communities.

Stay tuned for the AFTER photos! We're excited to bring this design to life!

🔨 They Said Replace the Whole Kitchen Island… We Said, “Hold On a Minute!” 😅

Sometimes the best remodeling project is the one that saves you from spending money you didn't need to spend!

This homeowner in Lorena, Texas, had some tenants move out and leave behind a pretty ugly surprise — a large dent and damaged area on the end of her kitchen island.

She was told the entire island needed to be replaced. 😳

The problem? The cabinets were still perfectly functional! The doors worked, the drawers worked, and the countertop was in great shape.

So why throw away an entire kitchen island over one damaged panel?

We had a better idea!

✅ Protected the surrounding cabinets, countertops, and flooring.

✅ Repaired and filled the damaged area.

✅ Sanded everything smooth to restore the surface.

✅ Applied an oil-based primer for proper adhesion.

✅ Sprayed a durable finish coat on both island end panels in a beautiful darker color that complements the existing countertops.

✅ Kept the original cherry-wood cabinet doors and drawer fronts untouched!

The result? A repaired, refreshed kitchen island without the headache, expense, and disruption of replacing the whole thing.

The homeowner saved time, saved money, and was thrilled with the finished repair. And we love that!

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we believe in giving homeowners honest recommendations. Whether you need a small cabinet repair, cabinet painting, cabinet refinishing, cabinet refacing, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, countertops, or custom tile work, we're here to help you make the right decision for your home.

📍 Proudly serving Lorena, Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Temple, Belton, and surrounding Central Texas communities.

Before you replace it, see if we can repair it!

🍁 Happy Fall, Central Texas!

Cooler weather is finally showing up, football is in full swing, and we’ve officially entered the season where every gathering somehow ends with everyone standing in the kitchen.

Doesn’t matter how big the living room is.
Doesn’t matter how many chairs are available.
If there are snacks, drinks, or someone checking the queso, that’s where the crowd will be. 😅

Fall is one of the best times of year because it brings people back together — family dinners, football watch parties, backyard evenings, holidays around the corner, and homes filled with people you love.

From all of us at Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we hope this season brings you cooler nights, good food, time with friends and family, and plenty of memories made at home.

We’re grateful to serve homeowners across Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Temple, Belton, Moody, Lorena, and surrounding Central Texas areas with kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, custom showers, tile work, countertops, flooring, and home remodeling projects.

And may your team win, your brisket turn out right, and your kitchen survive the crowd.

🚿 Belton Master Bathroom Remodel — Still in Progress, But Already Looking Good

This Belton master bathroom has come a long way.

We started with an old leaky shower, a dated jetted tub, and water damage hiding where nobody wants water damage hiding. So everything had to come out, get repaired properly, and then get rebuilt the right way.

The new layout keeps everything within the same general footprint, but now the homeowners are getting a much larger custom walk-in shower and still keeping a nice corner freestanding tub.

That’s what we call a win-win. More shower, less 1990s chaos. 😅

This bathroom remodel includes:

✔️ Old leaky shower removed
✔️ Jetted tub removed
✔️ Water damage repaired
✔️ Larger custom walk-in shower
✔️ Fully sealed waterproof shower system
✔️ Handmade sage-look wall tile
✔️ Large 24x48 floor tile
✔️ Rainforest pebble shower floor
✔️ Updated shower fixtures
✔️ Corner freestanding tub
✔️ Pony wall with glass partition still coming
✔️ New vanity and countertops still to come

The sage-look tile gives the shower a warm, natural feel, the large-format floor tile helps the room feel cleaner and more open, and the pebble shower floor adds a great earthy texture.

We’re still waiting on the vanity, countertops, and glass, but this one is already turning into a beautiful master bathroom transformation. The homeowners are excited, and we’re excited to get it wrapped up.

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we specialize in bathroom remodeling, custom walk-in showers, waterproof shower systems, tub-to-shower conversions, freestanding tub installation, tile shower installation, bathroom flooring, vanities, countertops, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, and home remodeling throughout Belton, Temple, Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Moody, Lorena, and surrounding Central Texas areas.

Stay tuned for the finished reveal!

This hallway bathroom got a major upgrade, and we’re excited to show off the transformation.

We removed the old tub and dated surround and replaced it with a clean, classic walk-in shower designed to be more functional, easier to use, and much better looking.

This project included a custom tiled shower, built-in niche, updated shower valve placement, handheld shower option, low-profile curb, modern vertical stacked subway tile, a fully waterproof shower system, and a frameless glass door to finish everything off.

One of the best details? The shower valve was moved so the water can be turned on and adjusted before stepping in.

Because nobody wants to start their morning by getting ambushed with cold water. 😅

This bathroom now has a brighter, cleaner, more timeless look while still being practical for everyday use.

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we specialize in bathroom remodeling, tub-to-shower conversions, custom walk-in showers, waterproof shower systems, shower tile installation, frameless shower doors, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, countertops, backsplash, flooring, and home remodeling throughout Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Temple, Belton, Moody, Lorena, and surrounding Central Texas areas.

Take a look at this transformation!

Today, we remember.

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the brave first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

9/11 is a day that will always be remembered in the hearts of the American people. It reminds us of the strength, unity, courage, and resilience that define this country, even in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

From all of us at Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we stand in remembrance with our fellow Americans today. We pray for the families who still carry this loss, and we give thanks for the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, service members, and everyday heroes whose courage will never be forgotten.

May we continue to honor their memory by loving our neighbors, supporting one another, and never forgetting the spirit of unity that carried our country through such a difficult time.

Never forget

Labor Day is all about recognizing hard work — and around here, we have a lot of respect for the trades, craftsmen, builders, painters, tile setters, plumbers, electricians, and everyone else who keeps homes standing, functioning, and looking good.

Basically, the people who know that “just a small project” usually means finding three more problems behind the wall. 😅

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we’re thankful for the opportunity to help Central Texas homeowners improve the spaces they use every day. Whether it’s a kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, custom walk-in shower, tub-to-shower conversion, tile backsplash, new countertops, flooring, or full home remodeling project, we take pride in doing the work the right way.

If your kitchen feels outdated, your bathroom needs a fresh start, your cabinets are ready for a makeover, or that shower has been on your “we really need to fix this” list for way too long — Labor Day weekend is a great time to start planning.

Let’s get your home ready for fall, holiday gatherings, and everyday life with remodeling that looks great, functions better, and is built to last.

🚿 Coming Soon in Woodway, TX: Tub-to-Shower Upgrade

This bathroom is about to get a serious upgrade.

We’re taking out the old bathtub and cultured marble surround and replacing it with a sleek, classic, and much more functional walk-in shower designed to help these homeowners with their aging-in-place plan.

The goal here is simple: make the shower easier to use, easier to access, and a whole lot better looking.

Instead of a standard tub wall that has to be stepped over every day, this new shower will have a minimized curb that will be roughly 3 inches tall. That gives the homeowners a much easier entry point while still keeping the shower clean, contained, and functional.

We’re also adding some important details that make a big difference:

✔️ Custom tiled shower
✔️ Low-profile curb for easier access
✔️ Built-in shower niche
✔️ Frameless glass shower door
✔️ Handheld shower unit
✔️ Updated shower valve location
✔️ Modern vertical stacked subway tile layout
✔️ Clean, classic white tile design
✔️ Fully waterproof shower system

One of my favorite practical details is the valve placement. We’re moving it where the homeowners can turn the water on and adjust the temperature before stepping into the shower.

Because nothing says “good morning” quite like getting hit with cold water before your coffee. 😅

Design-wise, this shower is going to have a timeless, clean look with a modern twist. The larger subway tile and vertical stacked layout will keep it feeling fresh and updated without making it too trendy.

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we specialize in bathroom remodeling, tub-to-shower conversions, custom walk-in showers, waterproof shower systems, shower tile installation, frameless shower doors, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, countertops, tile work, and home remodeling throughout Woodway, Waco, Hewitt, China Spring, McGregor, Temple, Belton, Moody, Lorena, and surrounding Central Texas areas.

Stay tuned — this one is going to be a good one.

Thanksgiving and Christmas may still feel a little ways off, but your kitchen already knows whether it’s ready or not. 😅

A more functional kitchen, updated countertops, fresh backsplash, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, new flooring, better lighting, or a bathroom remodel can make a huge difference before guests start showing up with casseroles and opinions.

🏡 The House Is Quiet Again… Now What?

The kids are back in school. The house is finally quiet again… and now you can hear it.

That outdated kitchen whispering, “Please help me.”
That cramped, moldy shower you know has been leaking for way too long.
Those cabinets you’ve been meaning to paint since… well, let’s not talk about how long. 😅
And that flooring project you keep saying you’ll “get to eventually.”

Good news: this is the perfect time of year to start planning your next home remodeling project.

We’re in that sweet spot between summer chaos and the holiday rush, which means there’s still time to update your kitchen, bathroom, shower, cabinets, countertops, tile, or flooring before Thanksgiving and Christmas arrive.

At Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, we specialize in kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, cabinet refacing, cabinet painting, custom walk-in showers, waterproof shower systems, tile installation, countertops, and home remodeling projects throughout Waco and Central Texas.

So while the house is quiet, take a look around. If your kitchen or bathroom is ready for a fresh start, we’d love to help.
