☀️Designed for slow mornings, sandy feet, coffee in bed, and snuggles. Here you can see the success of a restrained palette that still has plenty of color and layers of texture. This room brings the calm of the ocean home.

My goal is always to design a home that is gorgeous and unmistakably yours.

The space had only one concept and it was this! 🙌

After~Before

My client wanted to create a powder bathroom that was a fun/memorable design moment for her guests. Since her main floor was very open, this was the perfect opportunity to add wallpaper. The ceilings in the space are very high, which worked perfect with this climbing Sanderson botanical wallpaper.

It’s hard to capture it in the photograph, but the room has a glass window, allowing a peek of this room to be seen from the entry of the house— that’s why we added a pretty light fixture to hang in that window area.

And of course, these Visual Comfort & Co. wall sconces, add a lot of charm and add to the wallpapers botanical feel. We picked out a gold leaf mirror from Uttermost to add a contemporary edge.

When my client later put the house on the market, she kept hearing how much potential buyers loved this bathroom- so goal achieved!

The unexpected custom walls in cobalt mixed with traditional florals and graphic art make this bedroom feel truly unique. Designed for a teenage client that prefers fun/modern spaces but whose parents wanted something that felt inline with the rest of the home. The room is playful enough for now and sophisticated enough for what comes next (this kid is set with an extensive art collection) more of this space to come!

My East Beach Bedroom project is almost finished and it’s gorgeous! My client has a knack for finding beautiful sentimental artwork and it’s been a joy seeing her collection grow and get hung as we work room to room!

You might not agree with me and that’s okay! Share your thoughts in comments- love to hear what you think 🤔

But there are a few classic wallpapers I’ve quietly stopped specifying for clients and here’s why:

When a pattern starts showing up in every home tour or every aspirational dining room for years on end, it kind of loses what makes wallpaper special in the first place. Instead of telling your story, it starts to feel like it’s telling everyone else’s.

Bird & Thistle is a perfect example. Classic but it’s been everywhere for so long that it reads more like a default choice than a thoughtful one.

Schumacher Hydrangea Drape in blue and white falls into a similar category. If you truly love the pattern, I’d at least consider it in a different colorway—gray or yellow feels fresher. The classic blue-and-white version has become a bit of a shortcut for “I want this to feel designed,” which ironically can have the opposite effect.

And then there are the generic chinoiserie reproductions. The originals like Gracie still feel special. But the mass-produced versions popping up in every dining room? They’ve lost that sense of uniqueness.

At the end of the day, your home should feel like YOU and not like a collection of someone else’s saved images.

Do you have a room you’ve been working on that just never feels complete?

My client came to me with her daughter’s nursery. She had started it off with some beautiful pieces, but had hit a wall and couldn’t move it forward.

The first thing I noticed was the layout. Once we rearranged the room to create a clear focal point (this is more common than you’d think), everything started to click!

From there, we layered in vintage finds alongside her heirlooms and a few fresh pieces to create a collected, one-of-a-kind space.

Now she gets to actually enjoy it. No more mental weight & no more second-guessing!!

She told me how much she loves the atmosphere in there for bedtime stories and all the little moments in between 🤍

That’s always the goal.

When you work with me, you get a beautiful home that feels right, functions well, and truly reflects you.

A peek at a bedroom in progress I haven’t shared yet…

This custom Jasper Sintra headboard is to die for and we’re layering it up as we go. Some steaming on this bedding in the future 😆 but it’s already shaping up to be a cool hangout space for a teen boy.

Switched up my living room pillow stack for a quick spring refresh. I love the fun green and paisley design from layered on top of mimosa vine and wave. Pillows don’t have to be difficult to layer! Just buy the fabrics that make you happy.

I strongly believe you should invest in fabrics for your space to really make a difference. If you can’t afford the custom drapes and custom upholstery on furniture, then invest in good pillows.☀️
