Choosing your pool is only the beginning of bringing a new backyard to life. From preparing the site and delivering the pool to installation and finishing the surrounding space, there are several steps between choosing a design and enjoying the finished result.

The view doesn’t stop being beautiful when the sun goes down. Pool lighting, reflective water and a thoughtfully designed backyard can create a space that makes an impression long after summer ends.

Pretty proud of this one! 🏆

Our “Poolside Living on the Bay” project in Virginia Beach took home a 2026 HNA Hardscape Project Award, and I want to thank the people who made it happen.

Scott, thank you for the design and vision that brought this backyard together. Jason Pritchard, our project manager and man in the field, thank you for putting that plan into action, working through the challenges, and keeping the job moving.

Alex, thank you for everything you do in the office to support the team and keep things moving behind the scenes.

And to our crews, thank you for the hard work and attention to detail. You’re the ones out there turning these designs into something our customers get to enjoy every day.

To our homeowners, thank you for trusting us with your backyard.

I’m proud to be part of this Solid Structures team. There’s a lot of work behind a picture like this, and I’m glad to see that work recognized. This one belongs to all of you! 👊

Thinking about what’s possible in your own backyard? Send us a message—we’d love to hear what you have in mind.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

15’ wide pool down an 11’ driveway? Our project manager Jason found a way to make it happen.

The backing-up final boss!

There’s something about having your favorite place right outside the back door. No reservations, no complicated plans. Just a space to unwind, spend time together and make an ordinary day feel a little more memorable. 😊

On location for another happy customer testimonial!

Always good to come back, catch up, and hear how much they’re enjoying their backyard. This is the part of the job that never gets old.

A basketball court made with pavers? Absolutely. 🏀

Look closely—the court lines are built right into the paver pattern. With the deck connecting the spaces, this backyard brings relaxing, gathering, and game time together.

Your backyard should fit the way your family wants to spend time outside. For homeowners across Hampton Roads, that starts with a thoughtful plan.

You only get so many summers. Become That Backyard.
