There are so many wonderful things to say about Salinas NYC], I don't know where to begin. First it's the warm, inviting decor that you notice once you enter the restaurant. Designed by 2 of the proprietors, Mary Catherine and Donald Mikula, the contemporary design is meant to evoke the spirit of the Balearic Islands. It is divided into 3 areas, a tapas lounge and bar, main dining room, and a garden with a retractable glass roof and a custom-made stone fireplace that offers a charming al fresco dining experience year-round (see my stories for a quick tour) and walking around the corridors makes you feel like there's something new to discover around each corner.
Second, there are the cocktails and Spanish tapas which I will need to dedicate a separate post to really do it justice.
But alas, I came with SteakClub7] and I do need to feature this amazing CHULETON prepared to perfection by Luis Bollo]. This steak is a grilled prime rib-eye steak on the bone, (serves 2+) with fingerling potatoes, spring onions, mushrooms, piquillo peppers, garlic mojo. Great sear and flavor, and such a beauty from every angle. Swipe ↔️ to see!!
