✨🎁 A BEAUTIFUL HOME OWNER CASE STUDY 🎁✨

Paint Ops was contacted for a free estimate to repair an island that was previously painted by a different painting company. The homeowner tried to salvage the job by peeling as much paint as possible (paint should not peel 😱).

Once they realized they needed a true cabinet refinishing specialist, they called Paint Ops. Roxanne, our Operations Manager, went to the site to give a free proposal, but she knew immediately that this very basic island needed some Paint Ops love. With no moldings, baseboard, attention to the detail, and surrounding accents it just looked like a box sitting in a kitchen.

Our mission is to paint, yes, but it is also to absolutely adore your home and listen to exactly what you want. Once we know those things, we can give you the world!

This was a “small project” (just the island), but we also had a had a TIME CRUNCH. Our loving home owners needed this done for an event on New Year’s Day. With a booked schedule and knowing the mission at hand, we scheduled around our homeowners needs to make magic happen.

Travis, the owner, met with the clients and recommended they add baseboard, and a beautifully stained slat accent with a satin polyurethane finish.

Our homeowners went through the entire process with us and trusted the vision. The end result speaks for itself. It’s custom. It’s unique. It’s designed around the homeowners.

Our success is due to homeowners trusting the process that we design around their needs, our ability to listen and pivot at a moments notice, and master craftspeople rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.

PRODUCTS USED:
-Centurion Wood Coatings in a Satin finish. A two part coating designed for cabinets specifically. Kitchens get loved on heavily, slammed, kids running around, and home chefs making dreams happen.

-Jacobean Stain. Great contrast with other areas of the home and sealed beautifully with a Satin polyurethane.

We take much pride in offering our homeowners a white glove service.
-
This is how we take care of our homeowners. At paint Ops we offer interior, exterior, and cabinet refinishing services. Each of these come with their own challenges when we look at caring for our clients. A product list is at the bottom 💪🏽

1: 🏠Exterior: Depending on what’s being painted, we always start with drop cloths on the ground to protect from paint flakes and drips. We mask all glass using 3M plastics. We mask certain other areas of the home using Trimaco paper. All of these are secured using frog tape in the specific color designed for the surface it’s adhering to.

2. 🏠Interior: We create a project plan around our homeowners needs. If they work from home in a specific office, we plan our route on the other side of the house. Starting with floor protection using Trimaco floor covering, we then use our Trimaco paper for other areas we will be spraying trim. We cover all furniture in the center of the room with plastic. Once we have finished painting that area, we unmask everything and use before photos to move all furniture back exactly where it was. It’s truly like we were never there.

3. 🏠Cabinets: Now we can talk for days about cabinet masking but I’ll leave the basics here. Floor masking using Trimaco floor covering. Using orange Frog tape and the 3M hand masker we seal the cabinet openings with 3M plastic. We cover all other appliances with a mixture of paper and plastic. If you have ever seen the show then you know the exact level of care we take in kitchen masking.

Each area takes time, precision, and constant learning of new methods. We want our homeowners to have the best and we won’t stop until we do.

🏡A home owners journey meets a designers vision

Often times when we are with a homeowner picking out colors or designing their exterior without all of the things in place it can become a daunting task. Thankfully we have Paint Ops design specialists that can see every portion of a project.

It’s easy to see here, with a few changes in decoration and new paint, this porch went from basic to HGTV Extreme Makeover.

The smallest touch points change the big picture tremendously. A quick walkthrough of the new design:

COLORS:
-Siding: Sherwin Williams Naval

-Trim: Sherwin Williams Extra White

-Pillars: Replaced PVC with Cedar, stained Sherwin Williams Banyan Brown

-Door: Benjamin Moore Highlighter Yellow

DECORATIVE ITEMS:
-Hardware replaced with matte black.

-Large and small pots with greenery. Pots that are black and white.

-Touch of gold to pull the eye and add new depth to the porch.

-New outdoor rug with brown door mat.

-Black and brown wicker table.

-New cushions same seats ❤️

-New modern house letters to match the cedar pillars.

-Yellow wreath to saturate the depth of yellow and black.

It’s in the details and everything counts. This porch is ready for fall 🍃🍂🍁
