Builder grade isn’t a life sentence. 👏

And this Yorkshire guest bathroom is proof!

Not every bathroom renovation needs a completely new layout or a massive overhaul to make a big difference.

For this project, we kept the existing footprint but gave just about everything else a fresh start. New cabinetry in a beautiful warm neutral, quartz countertops, updated plumbing and lighting fixtures, and wood-look flooring completely changed the look and feel of this space.

And of course, we couldn’t leave without adding a few finishing touches! A little greenery, soft textures, and some carefully chosen accessories made this guest bathroom feel warm, welcoming, and ready to be enjoyed.

It’s a great reminder that you don’t always need more space. Sometimes you just need to make better use of the space you already have.

This is why we do it. 🤎

Hearing how much someone loves their finished space never gets old. Thank you, Alice, for trusting us with your home!

And if she loves her guest bathroom this much, we can’t wait for her to see what we have planned for her primary bath. We start next week! ✨

Yes, we’re the people who get excited about a lamp in a laundry room. 🤎

Because a space can be hardworking AND beautiful.

From the cabinetry and countertops to the lighting and finishing touches, we love seeing the entire vision come together.

And if a few of those finishing touches caught your eye, we’ve made them easy to find.

A little warmth. A lot of character. 🤎

Thoughtful material selections and the right balance of color, texture, and contrast. Sometimes it’s the simplest details that make the biggest difference.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. 🤎

Not to be dramatic, but we could make you obsessed with your own house. 🤎

Well, these just moved to the top of my tile list.

New Terranello samples from MSI are in the showroom and I’m a little obsessed. That brown with the wood and brass is my favorite, but I’d happily design a whole bathroom around the green.

This is the kind of tile I love working with. Beautiful color, texture, and enough variation in the surface to give a simple backsplash or shower wall some depth.

We have all six colors here at Studio MWR in Sycamore. And yes, you can order materials through us even if someone else is doing your renovation. 😉

The Larking Ave Kitchen is officially ready for its reveal.

This one is a perfect example of why a renovation doesn’t always need a completely different floor plan to completely change the way a space works.

This was already a BIG kitchen. The overall layout wasn’t bad. But there was a whole lot of square footage that wasn’t being used nearly as well as it could be.

Our biggest move was pulling the refrigerator out of the corner and relocating it to the adjacent wall. That one decision allowed us to essentially double the size of the peninsula, giving this kitchen significantly more prep space, storage and seating without stealing space from the room.

We also said goodbye to the awkward knee-wall desk and turned that area into storage the homeowners will actually use.

And when it came to the finishes, the goal was never to fight the character already here. We leaned into it. Kemper Choice maple cabinetry in Tundra with the Pasco door complements the rich wood tones throughout the home, paired with Cambria Berkeley quartz, Cremo Avorio flooring, Daltile Biscuit subway tile and Jeffrey Alexander Bremen 1 hardware in brushed oil-rubbed bronze.

Good design isn’t always about changing everything. It’s knowing what should change, what should stay, and how to make the space you already have work a whole lot harder.

Swipe through for the before. This one deserves the comparison. 🤎

Custom color. Checkered floors. Nothing about this kitchen feels off the shelf. 🤎

Designed by Simply Interiors by Shana, this project gave us plenty of good things to source through our Studio MWR showroom.

The Kemper Choice cabinetry was custom color-matched for the kitchen, pantry units and mudroom bench. Because when you have a specific color in mind, “close enough” isn’t always good enough.

MSI Ivoritaj quartz continues from the counters up the main backsplash, giving that surface room to shine. At the coffee bar, MSI Gems tile adds another layer. Then there’s the Stonepeak checkered floor, with Jeffrey Alexander Jules hardware finishing the cabinetry throughout.

Every one of those materials came through Studio MWR in Sycamore. Shana brought them together beautifully.

This is a side of our showroom we want you to see more of: helping designers and homeowners get their hands on the materials that make a space their own. And yes, you can purchase through us with your own team. 🤎
