A house shouldn’t look like its architect. It should be a perfect reflection of you. Agree?

Designing a large mountain home means balancing scale, beauty, and function. This intricate roofline features intersecting gables, varied roof pitches, dormers, and a blend of textured shingles, standing-seam metal, and copper accents.

The steep pitches help shed heavy winter snow, while the layered rooflines break up the home’s substantial scale. Anchored by massive stone chimneys, the result is a home that feels beautifully connected to its lake setting.

Fireplace season is here.

As the temperatures start to drop, there’s nothing quite like gathering around a fire. Over the years, we’ve designed fireplaces ranging from massive rustic stone hearths to cleaner, more contemporary designs — each one created to fit the home and the people who live there.

Which fireplace captures your eye and why? Swipe through and have a look!

Finding the perfect property is only the beginning. Every site presents a unique opportunity to study the land, frame the views, capture the natural light and create a seamless connection between indoors and out.

A fireplace is more than a source of warmth. It’s often a statement piece that anchors the entire home.

Stone. Timber. Scale.
