One Minocqua home. Three bathrooms. Now, a closer look at the primary bath.

Dramatic veining and large-format tile give this custom shower a striking presence, while warm wood cabinetry and rich, dark accents bring balance to the space.

Look a little closer, and you’ll see the details that make it work: recessed niches tucked into the shower side of the half wall, glass that keeps the space feeling open, and a linear drain that complements the clean lines.

With tile this expressive, the layout deserves careful consideration. The placement of individual pieces, grout lines, cuts, and finished edges all contribute to the overall result. Bringing those details together is where thoughtful planning and skilled craftsmanship meet.

Floorology supplied and installed the tile and shower waterproofing for all three bathrooms in this Minocqua home, with our expert team bringing care and craftsmanship to the installation.

At Floorology Five-Star Interiors, we plan complex remodels, specify shower waterproofing systems, and coordinate project schedules. Challenging material lists and detailed takeoffs? We’ve got those covered, too.

But putting on my name tag right side up? That’s where things get complicated. 😂

I went about my workday until someone finally pointed out that my name tag was upside down.

The best part? I was looking in the mirror when I put it on.

Apparently, I made eye contact with myself and we both approved. 🤦

Some days, it’s the simplest things that keep you humble. Please tell me I’m not the only one!

One of our favorite features in this Merrill bathroom was hiding above the old shower surround.

As soon as we discovered this beautiful log was there, we planned to incorporate it into the new shower’s design.

Now, its warm tones and natural character pair beautifully with the new tile, creating a shower that feels right at home in this Wisconsin Northwoods log cabin.

It’s a reminder of how thoughtful remodeling can bring a fresh perspective to the features that make a home special.

Tim, Shawn, and our trusted trade partners have been busy bringing the details together over the past couple of weeks, and this transformation is coming along beautifully. We’re also sprucing up a few other areas of the home along the way.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the work in progress. We can’t wait to show you how it all comes together!

Beautiful spaces depend on skilled hands. The future of our industry depends on who we inspire next.

We’re proud to see Floorology featured in TileLetter for our commitment to helping the next generation discover opportunities in the skilled trades.

From introducing students to tile installation at Build My Future Northcentral Wisconsin to helping advance local flooring installation training at Northcentral Technical College, this is work we care deeply about.

Because a student can’t pursue an opportunity they haven’t had the chance to discover.

Thank you to the educators, organizers, volunteers, and industry partners who help make these opportunities possible - and to TileLetter for sharing the story.
