Did you know many louvered systems still look like louvers when they're closed?

Apollo's 8" louvers interlock into a flat tongue-and-groove ceiling with no exposed hardware — so the closed position looks finished, not just shut. From the chair, it reads like the ceiling of an indoor room.

What a louvered roof changes for a hospitality property:

— Lounge areas usable through midday heat, not just mornings and evenings.
— Rain protection that keeps service running instead of stacking chairs.
— Multiple structures across a pool deck, each sized to its zone, reading as one design.
— Architecture-grade extruded aluminum built for high sun and heavy use.
— Site-specific engineering for the property's wind and load conditions.

Create an inviting space, no matter the weather.

For a restaurant, a rain shower shouldn't mean an empty patio.

When an Apollo roof closes, the louvers channel water into a 6" gutter running the full perimeter of the structure, then away from the dining area. Service keeps going.

How an Apollo project comes together:

1. Connect with an authorized dealer in your area.
2. Site visit to measure the space and review how it connects to the house.
3. Design — dimensions, attachment style, color, and options like rain or wind sensors.
4. Site-specific engineering
5. Manufacturing in Northern California, from architecture-grade extruded aluminum.
6. Installation by an experienced crew working from construction documents.

No kits. No guesswork. A roof built for one place.

The patio usually gets packed up in October.

With adjustable louvers overhead, it doesn't have to be. Open them for the low autumn sun, close them when the rain comes through — the watershed design sends it to the perimeter gutter. Pair it with heaters and fans, and the season runs a lot longer.

Pool builders: the conversation after the pool is usually about shade.

As an authorized Apollo dealer, you can answer it with a custom-built, motorized louvered roof — engineered for the site and backed by a 15/5 warranty — instead of sending the client elsewhere.

Three upgrades that let the roof respond on its own:

1. Somfy integration — control the louvers from the Somfy app on iOS or Android, or by voice through Alexa or Google Home.
2. Rain sensor — louvers close automatically when rain is detected.
3. Wind sensor — louvers open or adjust in high winds to protect the system.

Every system starts motorized with a remote. These add-ons take it the rest of the way.

The cook usually gets the worst seat at a backyard party — back to the guests, face to the grill, sun on the neck.

This project works differently. The counter wraps so whoever's cooking faces the view and the people. Overhead, an Apollo Opening Roof covers the grill and prep zone with louvers that adjust to the time of day: angled against afternoon glare, closed into a flat tongue-and-groove ceiling, open when the smoke needs somewhere to go.

One post, one beam, and a lot of room left for the hills.

The best outdoor structures look like they were built along with the house instead of installed after.

Here, a wall-attached Apollo Opening Roof fits right into the architecture, with custom columns and seemless footings built into the tile flooring. When closed, the louvers form a flat tongue-and-groove ceiling evoking the kind of finished surface you'd expect to see indoors.

Here's how a Saturday tends to go with a roof that opens.

Noon: louvers tilted to cut the midday sun off the bar top.
Four o'clock: angled wide open as the heat breaks.
Seven: dinner at the long table, sky still visible between 8" louvers.
Ten: a passing shower. One press of the remote, the louvers close, and the watershed design sends the rain to the perimeter gutter. The conversation doesn't stop.

The space adjusts so the evening doesn't have to.
