The interiors in Bridgerton and Saltburn have us looking at historic design in a whole new way!

This explores Elegant Reverie, where the character and grandeur of the past meet the comfort of modern living.

Think warm midtones, natural materials, touches of gold and architectural details that bring depth and a sense of history to a space without feeling overly formal.

What makes a space feel thoughtfully designed? Often, it comes down to how the details relate to one another.

Antica pairs the softness of arched millwork with the structure of clean-lined cabinetry. Olive green and warm wood tones bring depth to the palette, creating a cohesive look with plenty of character.

It’s a reminder that the strongest interiors don't need every element to compete for attention.

Color contrast is an important part of creating a well-designed interior. 🎨

The relationship between light and dark tones helps highlight architectural details, establish focal points and add depth to a space. Thoughtful color selection brings these elements together to create a cohesive design that feels intentional from room to room.

We’re still celebrating a big night at the Great American Living Awards! 🏆

We brought home GOLD in Multifamily, Model Homes and Marketing, with wins for Everly at Sadler Square, our new website and the 2026 INTrend publication.

One of the highlights was celebrating our win for Everly at Sadler Square on stage alongside our partners at Miller and Smith. Moments like these reflect the collaboration and trust behind every successful project.

Thank you to the Great American Living Awards judges for recognizing our work and to our incredible builder and developer partners for trusting our team to help bring their visions to life and sell more homes.

As we celebrate 50 years in the industry, we’re proud of the team and partnerships behind these achievements.

Choosing a senior living community is a big decision for both residents and the families helping them find the right fit.

Residents want a place where they feel at home, maintain their independence and stay connected. Their adult children want to know their loved ones will be safe, comfortable and well cared for.

At Builders Design, we understand that both perspectives matter.

The Crescent senior living project brings these priorities together through thoughtful design. Intuitive wayfinding, accessible spaces and clear sightlines support residents’ independence and confidence. Welcoming social areas encourage connection, while warm materials and inviting finishes create a comfortable, residential feel.

Successful senior living design goes beyond beautiful spaces. It creates environments residents want to call home and families feel confident choosing.

What if the color of a room could shape the way you experience it?

Green brings more than color to a space. Its connection to the natural world can create a sense of calm, balance and restoration, while the shade, surrounding materials and natural elements add depth to the overall experience.

Click through to explore why green continues to be such a thoughtful choice in interior design.

A good color palette is about more than choosing colors that look great together. Olive, dark russet and straw work particularly well because they bring different levels of depth, warmth and contrast to the space. The result is a bedroom that feels considered without feeling overly matched.

Even the smallest details can help tell the story of a space.

A mirror isn’t just something you hang on the wall. Its shape, scale and character can reinforce the mood of a room and add another layer to the overall design. It’s those little choices that make a space feel considered and give it a personality of its own.

There’s something about a home where every room feels a little different, but everything still works together.

That was the idea behind The Everly. As you move through the home, the mood shifts from room to room, giving each space its own personality while keeping the overall design connected.

It’s not about making every room look the same. It’s about knowing when to let a space stand out and when to let it flow into the next.

This , we’re taking a closer look at how amenities are evolving to make space for a different kind of wellness.

Alongside fitness centers, game rooms and social spaces, we’re seeing more environments designed for quiet, reflection and restoration - from reading rooms and garden spaces to peaceful lounges where residents can step away from the pace of everyday life.

These spaces offer something that can be easy to overlook in a world filled with screens, schedules and constant connection: the opportunity to slow down without needing to do anything at all.

It’s a thoughtful shift in amenity design that recognizes wellness can be about how a space makes us feel, as much as what we’re able to do there.
