Another big transformation in the works!

We're getting started on the prep work for this front porch, back porch, and basement steps, getting everything ready for another epoxy flake makeover!

As always, there's a lot that goes into the finished product before we ever apply the first coat. Proper concrete grinding, surface preparation, and taking care of any problem areas are all key to making sure the new floor system has the best foundation possible.

Most of you know that my wife Jess has been dealing with breast cancer the past 2 years. During her fight she realized there was very little support for fellow breast cancer patients so she started a nonprofit.
The owner of The Frenchie Fix is honoring her with a special drink and a portion of the proceeds is going to be donated to The Breastie Project (her nonprofit).

Another Transformation by Meraki Custom Finishes!

We’re excited to share the finished results of this church basement makeover! This project included the main area, kitchen, and bathrooms, all upgraded with a fresh new epoxy flake floor system.

As we mentioned in our previous post, a lot of work went into preparing these floors before the new system could even be installed. From extensive concrete grinding and surface preparation to asbestos encapsulation, thorough cleaning, specialty primer, and leveling agent, every step was important to achieve the proper coverage and a quality finished product.

This project requires extensive concrete grinding, asbestos encapsulation, thorough cleaning, and the application of a specialized primer and leveling agent to ensure proper preparation and encapsulation before we can move forward with the new flooring system.

Some projects require a little more work than others, and this one was definitely a challenge from the start.
This patio and carport floor had a failing concrete overlay and epoxy flake system that was previously installed by another contractor. Before we could create a beautiful, long-lasting floor, everything that was failing had to be removed properly. After extensive grinding, surface preparation, and repairs, we were able to install a brand-new epoxy flake floor system built to last.

Another day, another epoxy flake floor system prep while battling the rain!
This project came with its own set of challenges. We had to remove a failing concrete overlay and flake system that was previously installed, then properly prepare the concrete for a long-lasting new coating system.
A successful floor starts with the prep work. Taking the time to remove failing materials and create a solid foundation is the difference between a floor that lasts for years and one that doesn't.
