One of my favorite parts of interior design is taking an idea on paper and working through the details to make it a reality.
A lot goes into the process before construction even begins, from developing floor plans and detailed drawings to selecting materials and coordinating each element. Collaborating with the client along the way ensures their vision, needs, and personal style guide the decisions that shape the space.
For this Wisconsin Dells condo remodel, that planning helped create a kitchen that balances beauty and function, with each detail considered from the beginning through the finished space.

Farmhouse remodel with Ganser Construction, Inc. using custom inset cabinetry with a furniture island made made out of walnut❤️

This Lake Wisconsin living room remodel was designed to create a warm, comfortable space where everyday living and lake life come together.

We incorporated a soft neutral palette, natural stone fireplace, layered textures, and timeless furnishings to give the room a relaxed feel. The large windows brighten the space and keep the connection to the outdoors front and center.

We made the openings into the kitchen larger to help make the entire space feel connected. Perfect for morning coffee, cozy evenings by the fire, and gathering with family and friends.

A comfortable lake retreat, thoughtfully designed for how your family lives.

Ready to transform your lake home? Book your design consultation and let’s create a space designed for gathering, connecting, and making memories together.

Bath #1 in the seasonal retreat! We modernized the vanity and added beautiful tile to the shower to really change the feel of this bathroom! The soft blues in the tiles and sand color in the vanity made this room feel calm and spa like:) Design: Traci Rauner Design Photo: Karly Rauner Contractor: Sauk Prairie Remodeling

Before and Afters of a seasonal lake retreat.

This project was so fun to help redesign! We eliminated the wall that was in the middle of the kitchen to open up the space and allow extra room for an island.

The quartz countertop was also used behind the hood which created a great focal point.

The openings above the sink were made larger to take full advantage of the lake views.

We used a mix of painted and stained white oak cabinetry to keep everything light and fresh.

So thankful for such amazing clients who are “neighbors” on both Lake Wisconsin and Sanibel who have become great friends!

A butler’s pantry that’s just as beautiful as it is functional. 🤍

This space was designed to do it all—glass cabinetry to showcase collectible serving pieces, plenty of concealed storage for dry goods and small appliances, and an extra refrigerator for overflow.

The farmhouse sink and additional counter space also turn it into the perfect bar and prep area when entertaining a crowd. Everything has a place, while still creating a space you actually want to show off.

✨ Warm wood tones, soft neutrals, and timeless details come together in this thoughtfully designed kitchen by Traci Rauner Design.

The warmth of the reeded white oak cabinetry creates beautiful contrast against the soft beige painted perimeter cabinets, giving the space depth while maintaining a light, inviting feel. The full-height quartz backsplash and clean-lined hood keep the design feeling fresh and refined, while leaving intentional space on either side of the hood for elegant sconces—a finishing detail that will add warmth, balance, and layered lighting.

Every element was carefully selected to create a kitchen that's as functional as it is beautiful, proving that timeless design is all about thoughtful proportions, quality materials, and purposeful details.

A big transformation with this beauty! We took multiple walls down, which opened up the space from when you enter the front door as well as the back! The sunken living room was filled in to make the floor level, the beam was cut down so it wasn’t so obtrusive, and new windows and doors were added. The large 5’ x 12’ island is the centerpiece for cooking and entertaining. The entire first floor has now become a light filled gathering place for friends and family:)
