Sorry for the last-minute agenda, but our scheduled speakers had to cancel. So here we go:

Back by popular demand: Your favorite garden tool! Please bring your favorite garden item to show to fellow gardeners. We have some new discoveries that you will love to see. And if you have some advice for winterizing gardens/winter tool maintenance/plants for winter interest, we'd love you to share that information as well. This session is always so interesting and so much fun.

As always, we will have a social, so bringing a finger food and/or your own mug for teas is much appreciated. If you haven't paid your 2026/27 dues ($10 pp), please see Bar Armstrong…our new Treasurer!

We will also approve the minutes of our last two meetings and update you on Tyee beautification and our Spring Plant Sale.

As always, we are open to discussion of any other topic. Just raise your hand and voice!

Thank you to the enthusiastic volunteers who came out to w**d, revitalize the NW grass berm, and trim branches impeding pedestrians on Tyee Drive. We also planted a few new drought tolerant perennials in and near the 'rhody berm' across from the Petro statin. Don’t toss those fallen leaves, put them to good use! Leaves are a valuable resource for your garden. Compost them this fall and use the finished compost as mulch in your flower beds and vegetable garden in 2027. Panicle hydrangeas (Hydrangea paniculata) are wonderful shrubs for any garden. They come in a wide range of sizes and offer gorgeous long-lasting blooms that change color as they mature. They bloom on new wood, so we find them much easier to prune. What's not to love?!
