The heat just kicked on and your hardwood noticed. 🍂

As Rochester homes dry out for the season, wood naturally shrinks a little. Small gaps between boards in winter are normal and usually close back up once humidity returns.

A few easy ways to keep your floors happy:
1️⃣ Aim for 35 to 55% indoor humidity
2️⃣ Run a humidifier if the air feels dry
3️⃣ Add felt pads under furniture
4️⃣ Put a mat at every entry before the salt shows up

Seeing something that doesn't look normal? Send us a message, we're always happy to take a look.
