Read about one of our latest kitchen remodels here! From falling apart to Mid-Century beauty.

By Anna Dwinger “We started with a kitchen that was literally falling apart and created a functioning kitchen with better storage that is also beautiful, using walnut cabinetry and gold hardware accents.” The Project Sometimes a kitchen remodel starts

We recently finished a kitchen remodel in Fullerton. Swipe over to see the before and progress pics. The kitchen was literally falling apart. We installed dark walnut European style cabinets and quartz countertops with a full quartz backsplash. A new window was installed and new white cabinets in the laundry room. Also new wood flooring throughout the home, except for in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Owner of a rental home in Orange came to Anna Dwinger Interiors to replace their cabinets after a flood. We installed RTA budget friendly cabinets, kept the flooring in tact and added new granite counters that coordinated with the existing floor and also provided durability for use by tenants. Before pictures included for comparison.

It’s the small things. This is a rental property. They wanted to refresh the cabinets after some water damage happened. The cabinets sat a little differently than the original footprint of the cabinets, and left a little bit of a gap in the footprint of the flooring (scroll left for pic).

What’s so amazing about this first picture is that my tile installer was able to actually salvage old tiles by pulling them up from where the fridge and dishwasher go. And then he used another tile that was darker, that I pulled from Home Depot and didn’t completely match the old tiles, to fill in the fridge and dishwasher spaces, where the appliances will cover it.

We weren’t sure the old tiles would pull up without damage, yet he did it!! And saved the day! Thank you to Dave @ Santa Ana Tile for doing such amazing work! You’re the best!

And this, folks, is why you hire an interior designer to project manage your installations. We problem solve and make things look better. And why you hire professionals to do even the small jobs. They get it right.

Before and after fireplace remodel. We removed the bookshelves and installed drywall shelves with LED lighting in them. Then added porcelain slabs to the face of the fireplace with a porcelain mantel and hearth. Painted the side cabinets and added white quartz tops, and changed out the doors to a more modern looking door. Simple changes but overall major impact!
