Last week, we headed to Draftcade to celebrate Ben passing his ARE exams and officially becoming a licensed architect! Ben is a huge asset to BCDM, and we’re proud of all he’s accomplished and excited to see what the future holds for him. We’ll leave the arcade games to the professionals, but we’re pretty proud of the work we do. Congratulations, Ben!

October 3–10 has officially been proclaimed Golden J. Zenon Week by the City of Omaha!

Golden J. Zenon was a pioneering Omaha architect and founder of Zenon Beringer & Associates (ZBA) in 1976, the firm that would eventually become BCDM. He designed notable projects throughout Omaha and was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 1986.

His commitment to thoughtful design, collaboration and service helped pave the way for the firm we are today, and we’re proud to celebrate his lasting legacy in our community and profession.

Pictured on slides 5 & 6: ZBM co-founders Bob Mabrey and Dave Beringer presenting about Golden at the proclamation, and some of Golden’s children receiving it on his behalf.

For 50 years, our work has never been just about the spaces we design. It has always been about the people and communities those spaces serve.

Our 50th Anniversary Celebration was a chance to honor the relationships that have shaped BCDM over the years, including our staff, clients, consultants, and friends. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone and the many people who make BCDM what it is.

Here’s to the relationships we’ve built, the communities we’ve served, and the next 50 years of creating environments that form people.

Last week, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for Lincoln View Elementary, marking an exciting new chapter for Papillion La Vista Community Schools! The new 55,000-square-foot school is designed to serve up to 500 students in a modern learning environment that will support their growth for years to come.

We’re proud to continue our more than 40-year partnership with Papillion La Vista Community Schools and grateful for the opportunity to help bring another exceptional school to the community. We can’t wait to see the Lincoln View Leopards fill the halls and wish the students, staff, and families an amazing first school year!

The 2010s were defined by integration. As technology continued to shape everyday life, architecture evolved alongside it. BCDM designed environments that brought people together and strengthened connections across our communities. Each project reflected a growing understanding that great design supports not only how we learn, but how we experience the world around us. Throughout the decade, we continued creating environments that form people while building relationships that continue to shape our future.
