Hey, y'all. We are Chad and Brandy. We settled in Middle Tennessee in 2024.

New to homesteading and want to share our adventure so grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile.

Good morning everyone

10/21/2026

I’ve been loving watching all the little visitors buzzing around our basil here at Rustic Refuge Homestead. 🌸🐝 Even when a plant goes to seed, it can still be a beautiful source of life in the garden!

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our pollinators is simply let nature do its thing. 🦋🌱

Tell me, do you let your basil flower and go to seed,? 👇 I’d love to hear what you do!

These boys sure know how to show off those beautiful feathers ❤️.
Just another day at Rustic Refuge Homestead, where there's always something happening! 🌾🏡

Ending the day the RIGHT way… with some juicy watermelon and sweet strawberry treats for our girls!

🍉🍓🐓 Nothing fancy, just happy chickens and the simple joys of homestead life. 🌻🏡

Now tell me… 👇 WHAT’S YOUR CHICKENS’ FAVORITE TREAT? 🍉🥬🍓

Are your girls team WATERMELON or team STRAWBERRIES? 😂👇 Let’s see which treat wins in the comments! ⬇️❤️
