If I had to move tomorrow… these 10 things are coming with me! 🏡🤍

Some are splurges, some are budget-friendly finds, but every single one has helped make our house feel like home.

After 8 years of real Christmas trees, we made the ultimate switch: we went faux! 🎄😂

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the tradition, the smell, and the whole experience. But the watering, the needles everywhere, and the absolute disaster of getting it out of the house every year? I think we’ve paid our dues. 💀

So this year, we’re going faux, and I’m not looking back. (Okay, maybe I’ll miss the smell.)

My husband thought renovating our staircase wouldn’t make that big of a difference… 😂

Turns out, it completely changed the feel of our home!

It’s one of those renovations that made everything feel more custom, polished, and finished. And now? I wish we had done it sooner!

If you’re thinking about updating your staircase, here’s exactly what we did to get this look:

1. Paint: Painted the walls Shoreline Gray by Benjamin Moore.
2. Floors: Sanded down our existing hardwood floors and refinished them with Bona White stain by infinite_floors_8579997983.
3. Railings: Replaced the banister and spindles with a cleaner, more modern square style.
4. Runner: Swapped out the old runner for this beautiful one from The Carpet Workroom.
5. Artwork: Added new artwork from Urban Garden Prints • Pretty, Colorful & Current Art, frames from Frame It Easy.
6. Sconce: Belle & June.
7. Staircase sconces: Solariko & Designs | Lamps & Planters.

Proof that sometimes one renovation can completely transform the feel of your home! 🤍

Home decor trends I skipped… and have ZERO regrets. 👏🏻

As an interior designer, I love seeing new trends come and go, but that doesn’t mean I’m following all of them!

Give me a classic white kitchen, a little blue and white, wallpaper, art with personality, and a home that actually feels lived in.

I’ve always believed your home should reflect YOU, not whatever is trending on Instagram. And just because something is considered “out” doesn’t mean it can’t still be beautiful and timeless.

At the end of the day, I’m decorating a home, not a showroom. 🤍
