Granite is making a strong comeback and this gorgeous Black Forest granite is a big reason why. It looks like marble with the durability of granite. This beauty will go into a house in Deep Creek I’m working on.

Where we started and where we went. This client had a huge veneered stone fireplace. It wasn’t fitting her cozy aesthetic. I designed a new mantle and surround using over nine different types of trim. Piecing it together like art, installed it beautifully. I chose a tumbled marble tile to complement the Shoji White paint color. A micro cement will be applied over the original concrete hearth after the custom built-in cabinets and crown molding from Trademark Cabinets go in flanking the sides of the new fireplace. Glass doors in a warm brass will be custom built to the firebox.

Some early morning cabinet hardware layout. Thoughtful choices between k***s and pulls, placement and various sizes, creates a unique layout for this custom kitchen and bar. Using vellum overlay allows me to make changes easily. Top K***s

Today marks one year of denposh design. Every small business owner will tell you that the first year is the hardest. And doing it completely on your own is even scarier. Within this year, though, I took on 31 projects, partnered with the most amazing contractors, learned how to finally use my computer, learned how to say no, learned how to say yes, and developed relationships that allowed me to grow not only as a business, but as a person. Forever thankful to all of my contractors, vendors, and of course, my family. Most of all to my husband, who was my biggest cheerleader from the very beginning. Can’t wait to see what next year brings.

During a paint consultation yesterday, I selected colors that coordinated with the home’s existing elements, such as, the kitchen cabinets, flooring, and furniture.

Special consideration was given to the natural light exposure, particularly the north-facing rooms. The colors i chose will maintain warmth throughout the day without appearing cold or flat.

The chosen palette works as a cohesive whole-home color scheme, allowing each space to flow into the next while still providing subtle variation. The tones complement one another in undertone and depth, creating consistency between rooms.

Working with Orkis Woodwork and Solid Painters, LLC, this fireplace got a complete redesign. New built-in cabinets flanking the surround added much needed storage in this living room. What was once a heavy focal point in this living room now becomes a bright and showstopping centerpiece. A modern fire box insert from Fireplace & Patio will complete the look.
