🕸️✨On an early October morning, the sun rose through the mist and lit up every strand of this spider’s web like a string of tiny jewels. A small masterpiece, spun overnight, right at the edge of the garden. It’s a gentle reminder that a living landscape is full of quiet artistry, if we slow down long enough to notice. This fall, leave a few webs in place. They’re a sign of a healthy garden, and they never look more beautiful than on a crisp, dewy morning.

🍂Happy Halloween from all of us at Backyard Bounty! 🎃

One judge wrote: “The before photos make the transformation even more amazing.” We agree.

Swipe through: a construction-damaged backyard - compacted soil and almost nothing growing. We love a good challenge - and seeing the daily changes as our team laid paths, moved stone, set the stream liner, built the steel walls - and then PLANTS!

The moment the we turned the stream on for the first time, a layered woodland retreat began to grow - set in motion by our super team of gardeners and masons.
Notice where your eye lands in the after photos: the middle of the yard, not the edges.

The best gardens do more than frame a lawn! 🖼️

We’re still buzzing from Streamside Retreat’s 2026 APLD International Gold Award for Residential Design! 🥇 Huge thanks to @‌landscapedesigners and our local chapter, @‌aplddcmdva, for this incredible honor.

Stay tuned for more! 🌿

We were so thrilled to be able to leave September blooms in Backyard Bounty mugs for some of our Garden Management clients over the last few weeks! 💐

Let your garden be a refuge during these trying times.

Well… has this series convinced you that yellow deserves a place in your garden? 🌻

Over the past five days we’ve gathered our favorite yellow natives, paired them, added texture, and finally… brought them to the table! This is what yellow gives you when it’s more than just a color choice. 😍

Team yellow now? Tell us your favorite yellow thing in the comments! 🐝

A well-designed yellow border doesn’t just look good from the street. It gives you this on a Tuesday!

That’s always been the whole argument. A garden feeds life. A landscape just sits there.

Welcomes friends and pollinators!

Surrounded by green with a cozy perch, it can be a refuge before winter.

And most importantly, strong or subtle, a pop of yellow brings life! 💛
