You shouldn’t have to pull it twice to get it to latch.
You shouldn’t have to catch it before it slams.
And you definitely shouldn’t have to explain to every guest, “you have to lift it a little.”

Strong wind, driving rain, and changing pressure can expose small problems that are easy to miss during normal weather.
After a storm like this, it’s worth checking:
Does the door still close smoothly?
Is the closer working properly?
Does the latch engage correctly?
Did the frame or hardware loosen?
Is the door still sitting square in the opening?
