Wanted to share what our "old" neighbors, Modern by Megean Contemporary Jewelry when we were on 8th Street back in 2015 until they moved to Waterfront W**e Bar and we moved on Washington Street til we closed our doors 2 months ago.
So proud of these ladies!
We will DEFINITELY check out 57 Saloon and Grill sometime soon since I heard from one of our "neighbors" Silver & Lace only 4 booths away located in the "New Mall" Dusty Owl Antique Mall ~ that "57" is right down the road :-) ♡♡♡

Meet the new owners of 57 Saloon and Grill
We thought it was time to properly introduce ourselves and share a little about who we are, where we came from and what brought us to 57
We’re Megean Lauson and Rachel Beck, twin sisters, and we’ve spent much of our adult lives building businesses together
Our journey started with Modern by Megean Contemporary Jewelry in Manitowoc, and for just shy of 15 years we were jewelers. Rachel is a silversmith and goldsmith, and Megean is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Both also have associate degrees in Art History and attended school in Green Bay for Business Management and Marketing
Somewhere along the way, we decided to start selling bottles of w**e at the jewelry store
Then something unexpected happened
The w**e started outselling the jewelry
We saw an opportunity and decided to follow it, opening Waterfront W**e Bar just a few blocks away in downtown Manitowoc
For nearly eight years, we’ve owned and operated Waterfront W**e Bar and have been involved in just about every part of the business. We’ve worked in the kitchen, bartended busy nights, served tables, washed dishes and stepped into whatever role was needed
Our experience in the restaurant industry actually goes back even further. Our first jobs at 15 were washing dishes at Perkins, and since then we’ve held many different positions throughout the industry
Along the way, we’ve also been incredibly fortunate to have our work and businesses recognized through awards including Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneurs of the Year, 40 Under 40, Future 15 and Community Development Awards
But more important than any award has been everything we’ve learned through entrepreneurship, taking chances, adapting, creating and building businesses people want to be part of
And we are genuinely excited about where that journey has brought us next
57 Saloon & Grill
When the opportunity to purchase 57 Saloon and Grill came along, we saw something special here. A great small town bar and grill with history, personality, loyal customers and so much potential for what comes next
We’re excited to bring our experience, creativity and a few new ideas to 57 while keeping the character that makes this place what it is
Outside of work, Rachel loves gardening, cooking, biking and swimming, the color pink, loves her Pomeranian and is a Green Bay Packers and Brewers fan
Megean loves hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, waterfalling, cooking and exploring somewhere new. She also loves anything creative, especially art, painting and ceramics
We’ve spent much of our lives creating, building and growing businesses, and we’re incredibly excited about this next one
We’re looking forward to getting to know more of the Hilbert community, bringing some new ideas to 57 and continuing to build on what has already made this place special
