Beautiful furniture still has to survive real life.

For families with young children, we think about things like rounded furniture profiles, performance fabrics, and surfaces that can handle toy cars, spills, pets, and everyday use without turning the living room into a space everyone is afraid to touch.

At the Showcase Home, durability and beauty were never treated as opposing ideas. The goal was both.

Sometimes it's the architecture. Sometimes it's the finishes. And sometimes, the furniture gets to completely change the conversation.

The sculptural shapes of the bed and mirror give this bedroom an identity all its own. It's also a good example of why we don't define our work by one particular aesthetic.

Our projects aren't designed to look like one another. The common thread is the thought behind them.

Texas may be home, but our work doesn’t stop at the state line.

Seaside Dream took our team to Sea Isle, New Jersey, where collaboration with the local construction team allowed us to carry the design process from Texas to the coast.

Working out of state changes the logistics—not the level of detail. Clear documentation, communication, and coordination become even more important when everyone isn’t sitting in the same room.

A good chair. A stack of books. Something warm to drink.

Not every corner of a home needs a grand purpose. Sometimes it just needs to make slowing down for an hour sound like a very good idea.

Coastal doesn't have to mean seashells and stripes.

For Seaside Dream, we looked toward the relaxed, colorful interiors of places like the Bahamas and South Florida—letting that influence come through in the palette, materials, and overall ease of the space rather than relying on obvious coastal motifs.

A little island energy, just a bit farther north.

Sometimes the best thing a client can bring to the design process is a little trust.

Terrazzo. And then... more terrazzo.

This bathroom was an opportunity to fully commit to the material rather than use it as a small accent. When there's confidence in the larger vision, ideas that may feel bold on a sample board can become some of the most memorable moments in the finished home.

Art isn't something we save for the end.

In this Austin dining space, artwork the client already owned became part of the inspiration for the room, influencing the conversation around color, form, and accessories, including these sculptural vessels by SkLO.

Art can be the finishing touch. But sometimes, it's where we begin.

A home becomes much more interesting when it tells you something about the people who live there.

For this Austin game room refresh, getting to know our clients meant finding ways to celebrate their Greek heritage while creating a space that still felt distinctly theirs. Those personal references helped shape a room with a little swagger, a lot of personality, and a story behind the selections.

Because our job isn't to give every client a TIPLER house. It's to help create their house.
