Home number two on the install calendar this year was a fun return to home that I enjoyed helping make some significant changes to.
You will recognize the dining room.

This client won the two Wreaths from the Trimmed event with Keela Boone Design
Instead of matching the ribbon exactly to the wreaths we took the road less traveled and I am obsessed with the color combo.

It’s the first home of the season and a new upgraded tree style for this family. Our client went from chic minimalism to chic maximalist this year for her little girl who is obsessed with Christmas. It was the first time that I have used tinsel icicles in at least thirty years and I came home and ordered some from Amazon because we need more magic this year.

Soft and pretty, with simple pops pink and blue.

I can’t wait to see if little brother lets the tree stand. He’s mobile and curious. 😂🥰

It’s time! Today is the first day of the 2026 Christmas Season. We are so excited and I can’t wait for you to see all that we have been working on behind the scenes.

It’s been months of hard work and planning and now we shine.

Custom Garland and Wreaths

We are now taking orders for custom garlands and wreaths.

You can select your ribbon from the album with all of the ribbon or you can text me photos and I will make suggestions for you.

Garland greens available Oregon Fir (what I call regular garland) it’s perfect for layering or by itself

Premium Norfolk Pine garland 16” thick by 72” long. It’s the lush garland that you see most often in our installs.

Magnolia Garland is the classic and mixes beautiful with both of the other garlands. It’s not one that I recommend by itself

Wreaths are available in 30” Oregon Fir

Here’s how to order:

When a client asks for fun and funky, you give it to her with gloss. She found the chairs in a local shop, and etsy after I found another client an incredible antique dining table and china hutch.

I sourced the fabric some of which was leftover from my personal drapery in my office, others from buying extra fabric to save a client money on their drapery, and others are repeats because I loved them so much.

We then contacted the one and only, the best, my favorite busy bee, Heirloom House who has done all of the work. She repaired the cane backs, she painted the gorgeous lacquered finish, and she is upholstering the seats. The results are so good, I think I’m going to have to fight my client for these.

You know what is getting crazier? These weeks. I just need a couple without all of the crazy. Not a whole year, just a couple of weeks where my nervous system can get a rest.

Meanwhile:
Me: I have to get this done before we begin installs next week. The hubby is out of town, my team is finishing up tasks at their real jobs, my son needs me to help with his angels, doctor’s appointments (because getting older sucks and everything breaks), you are receiving more shipments, and the government has lost all shreds of decency and moral values.

My body: you know that knee you got fixed a few weeks ago? Yeah, it’s not going to cooperate. It flares up and the doctor says stay off of it. 😳😩

Me: Best I can do is take the Celebrex and steroids and pray they get me through.

Is it just my life or is everyone else having the same chaotic weeks every single week? 😂😂😂 At this point it ain’t even funny and these memes might get more sarcastic and more real.

You loved this one last year. It was a tree that I didn’t plan on doing until the last minute and so I used what I had and supplemented with what I found at Walmart which is ten minutes from my house.

I pulled out ribbon and stems that I had not used along with ornaments that I just could never part with. It was in my granddaughter’s room and they loved it.

So this year it’s time to come up with something special for the grandsons room. I haven’t decided what yet but I will probably take the same approach of fun and colorful and using what I already have.

It’s your reminder that the 2026 CARA Christmas Tree Fundraiser is here.

This year’s tree is inspired by Dolly Parton
Dolly had a heart for kindness and love and that’s exactly what this world needs. At a time when every shelter is beyond capacity due to record numbers of owner surrenders, abandoned dogs, and of course the abused and neglected, we need this reminder of the good in the world.

I am donating this beautiful tree, with all that you see here, installed in the winner’s home. This year’s tree is valued at $4850.

I chose to use things that are synonymous with Dolly. I even asked CARA to choose one of their intakes to name Dolly for a tree mascot.

You will find butterflies, the coat of many colors, references to music, and much more on this tree. I have selected bright, colorful ribbons to adorn the tree along with beautiful glass ornaments.

My goal is to raise $10,000 this year. Please purchase your tickets to this fundraiser. Installation is reserved for a 100 mile radius of Jackson, MS. If you are outside this area and your ticket wins, you will still have options.

We are so excited to count down the days until our 2026 season begins. 8 more days!
