Planning to turn a shipping container into a room, office, or workshop? Read this first. ⚠️
Buying a standard-height container is one of the most common mistakes people make. Here is the difference:
• Standard Height (8'6" outside): You get about 7'10" of space from floor to ceiling inside. This works great for boxes, furniture, and basic storage.
• High Cube (9'6" outside): You get a full extra foot of height, giving you about 8'10" inside. (Available in 20ft and 40ft lengths.)
Why that extra foot matters:
When you build inside a container, you lose height fast. Once you add flooring, wall framing, ceiling insulation, and overhead lights, a standard box drops down to around 7 feet of head room. That can feel cramped and cave-like.
A High Cube container gives you the breathing room you need so you can walk around without feeling boxed in. 🔨
