We poured our hearts into this one and are so thankful for the opportunity to work on such a transformational project! St. Joseph Children's Home was so wonderful to work with the our collective collaborative spirit really shined through on this one.
JRA Architects designed the beautiful pavilion in the resident playground and E-Z Construction was the contractor. Special thanks to Ben Turner and Greg Oakley at Hollenbach Oakley for their care in overseeing the project!

Next up in our play space series is Highland Presbyterian Nursery and Weekday School!

BDC worked with the staff and faculty to incorporate a diverse range of play features to provide a natural setting where children can engage in cooperative and self-directed play. This natural play space brings opportunities for exploration, creativity, and outdoor learning into the heart of the Highlands.

Play comes in many forms, and so does landscape architecture!

Over the next few posts, we'll be highlighting some of the unique play spaces BDC has designed, starting with St. Gabriel the Archangel Natural Play Park. This natural playground was designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and outdoor learning, giving students opportunities to play, discover, and connect with the environment.

Stay tuned as we share more of the spaces we've helped bring to life.

Turning stormwater runoff into a natural asset. BDC designed this rain garden with beautiful native plants at the Karen Lynch Park by the Beargrass Creek Pump Station to naturally capture runoff right where it falls.
