Weaving classes have begun at the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria. I attended today and made this beautiful Ocean Knot mat. It’s free to attend. All materials are supplied. There is two more classes for this design Oct 17th and the 31st. 10:00-12:00. Registration opens the Saturday before. They have two more classes in November and one in December, both are for different designs. It’s super fun!! All details are on the website.

I attended a weaving class that taught me how to weave a 5 bight Turk’s head knot. I love learning and creating such wonderful products using retired crab pot rope. These can be used as centerpieces, wall hangings, or just add some Christmas ribbon, greenery or lights for a festive door wreath.
