A patterned shower curtain is one of the easiest ways to bring personality into a bathroom without touching a single permanent finish.

This one does all the heavy lifting against a calm, classic backdrop — crisp white cabinetry, speckled granite, and soft gray walls that let the pattern take center stage. It’s a great reminder that not every piece of a bathroom has to be a big investment. The soft goods are where you get to have fun, while the cabinetry and countertops stay timeless underneath.

That’s the mix we love: invest in what lasts, and let the easy-to-swap pieces carry the personality.

A sloped ceiling usually means wasted space. Here, it became the whole design opportunity.

Tucking the shower under this dormer let us use every inch of an awkward attic footprint — no curb to step over, a built-in niche for everyday essentials, and a herringbone tile floor that adds just enough pattern against all that calm, marble-look porcelain. Ch*****ne bronze fixtures warm up the palette without pulling focus from the architecture itself.

This is the kind of problem we love solving: turning the “difficult” part of a floor plan into the most interesting detail in the room.

The range wall is where a kitchen earns its “wow.”

This custom cherry hood with hand-carved corbels does more than vent a cooktop — it’s a genuine piece of millwork, framing a dramatic stacked-stone backsplash that brings texture and depth you just can’t get from flat tile. Black granite grounds the whole composition, letting the wood and stone take center stage.

Details like this are where craftsmanship really shows. It’s not just about function — it’s about giving the hardest-working wall in the kitchen a reason to be the most beautiful one too.

Before the siding goes up, we show our clients this.

This concept rendering let the homeowners see the whole transformation before committing: a fresh gray color palette, a classic front porch with white columns, brick accents on the chimney and entry column, and crisp black shutters to add definition against all that siding. Seeing it rendered onto their actual home and driveway makes the decision so much easier than flipping through paint swatches and hoping for the best.

This is exactly why we build renderings into our process — so nobody has to imagine the end result. They get to see it.

This is the kind of bathroom that makes you actually want to start (and end) your day slowly.

A freestanding soaking tub sits right under a wall of windows overlooking the trees, a curbless marble shower with a built-in bench makes room enough for two, and a double vanity in soft gray keeps the morning rush from turning into a negotiation. Large-format tile underfoot and that calm, cool palette do the rest — nothing competing for attention, just quiet, spa-like calm.

This is what we mean when we say a primary bath should feel like a retreat, not just a bathroom. Every detail here earns its place.

A stone entry tower like this one does more than frame a front door — it sets the tone for the whole home before anyone even steps inside.

The two-story arched window brings in dramatic light over the entry, while the natural stone grounds all that soft taupe siding above it. Multiple gables and a bay window addition on the side keep the roofline interesting without feeling busy, and a wraparound lawn gives the whole facade room to breathe.

Curb appeal like this isn’t an accident — it’s the result of getting proportion, materials, and massing right from the very first sketch.

You can’t buy wood like this anymore — not for any price.

This original quarter-sawn oak trim, medicine cabinet, and door were all here long before we were, and preserving them was non-negotiable. We built the rest of the room around that woodwork instead of over it: a soft sage-green wall color that lets the wood tones stay the star, a classic pedestal sink, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures that feel like they could have always been there, and the original mosaic tile floor kept right where it belongs.

This is the kind of project we love most — not erasing a home’s history, but giving it a reason to shine for another hundred years.

Dark cabinetry against a soft, pale wall color is one of our favorite contrasts to design around.

Here, deep espresso cabinets ground the space against a gentle sage-green backdrop, while exposed wood beams along the vaulted ceiling add architecture and warmth up top. A colorful glass mosaic backsplash ties the two together, catching light from that sculptural pendant over the island. It’s a kitchen that feels bold without ever feeling heavy — proof that dark cabinetry doesn’t have to close a room in when the rest of the palette is doing its job.

Contrast like this is where a kitchen stops looking like a catalog page and starts looking like a real design decision.

Nothing shows off a home’s architecture quite like a backdrop of October color.

This Victorian’s character comes through in the details: the shingle banding that wraps the upper stories, the steep, dramatic gables, the way the white clapboard on the first floor grounds all that texture above it. These are the kinds of details worth preserving and restoring rather than stripping away — they’re what give a home a sense of history you simply can’t recreate from scratch.

Some of our favorite projects aren’t about reinventing a home. They’re about bringing out the character that’s already there.

A window seat changes a room more than almost any other addition we build.

This one tucks into a bay of three oversized windows, turning what used to be empty wall space into the best seat in the house — morning coffee, an afternoon book, watching the yard without ever leaving home. Paired with a vaulted ceiling and that gorgeous arched transom window pulling in extra light, this little addition does a lot of work for its footprint.

It’s proof that you don’t need a huge addition to make a huge difference in how a room feels to actually sit in.
