Designed for two cooks, with every detail considered.

This late ’90s kitchen was reworked with a more functional layout and a layered mix of materials. Statuario Fantastico quartzite, patterned tile, a custom metal hood, and hand-forged hardware bring depth and character, while metallic veining carries the palette throughout. The result feels collected and refined, but still built around how the kitchen is used every day.

A transformation where better function and beautiful details work hand in hand.

Bringing your vision into focus.

During our Initial Presentation, we take the ideas from our first conversation and begin bringing them to life. From preliminary design concepts to carefully selected materials and finishes, we walk you through our creative direction and the thinking behind each choice.

It's an opportunity to explore the possibilities, share feedback, and establish a clear direction for the next phase of your kitchen design.

Every kitchen starts with a palette.

Wood, stone, metal, and texture come together to set the tone, long before installation begins. Thoughtful material selections are what turn a kitchen into a space that feels distinctly yours.

A kitchen designed to work harder, without losing its personality.

An expanded island creates more room for cooking and gathering, while a dedicated coffee and bar area makes the most of the surrounding space. White cabinetry and dark-stained walnut create a warm contrast, with Macaubas quartzite and a teal backsplash bringing color and character into the mix. Custom storage throughout keeps everything considered and close at hand.

A space that feels personal, practical, and made for everyday life.

A new chapter for a historic home.

Set within Denver’s 7th Avenue Historic District, this early 1900s residence was thoughtfully reimagined to restore its original character while creating a kitchen designed for life today.

Rift-cut white oak, Crema Delicato marble, Calacatta Gold, blackened metal, and unlacquered brass come together in a layered palette that feels collected rather than new. Every detail honors the architecture while quietly introducing modern function.

A kitchen rooted in history, designed to live beautifully into the future.

Designed for the rhythm of everyday life.

In Open Spaces, a reimagined kitchen brings new clarity to a family home while preserving the character that was already there. Rift white oak, Taj Mahal Quartzite, and soft white cabinetry create a natural balance of warmth and restraint, while a double island transforms the kitchen into a place for cooking, gathering, and everything in between.

A space designed to work beautifully, and live even better.

Designed for today. Made for decades.

Quality is more than how a kitchen looks. It is how it feels, functions, and endures. At KD, we believe the spaces at the heart of our homes deserve materials and craftsmanship made to last.

The details we’d never skip are the ones that make a kitchen feel effortless—storage sized around what you actually own, cabinet lighting exactly where you need it, and drawers placed around the way you naturally move through the space

For this Highlands Ranch renovation, we replaced the walk-in pantry with built-in storage and concealed the Sub-Zero appliances, giving the kitchen more function without adding visual noise. The best details aren’t there to be noticed, they’re there because you notice when they’re missing.

The finished kitchen is only part of the story.

Behind it is a lot of measuring, problem-solving, refining, and collaborating—working with the existing architecture, site conditions, and the way a family actually lives. How would it feel to have a kitchen built around you?

The secret to contrast lies in restraint—not in matching every element, but in creating relationships between them.

Our project, Synergy With a Pop of Color, is a study in harmonious contrast. The result: a space where every element feels distinct, yet nothing feels out of place.
