Even the prettiest kitchen needs to work for you.

From where you keep your coffee mugs to how you cook for a crowd, the layout matters just as much as the finishes. We want your kitchen to feel like you and make your everyday a little easier.

What’s one thing you wish worked better in your kitchen?

When your office is full of beautiful kitchens, cabinetry, finishes, and ideas, 8:30 a.m. looks a little different.

We may be biased, but this is a pretty great place to start the day.

And here we are. A kitchen ready for morning coffee, cooking for a crowd and all the everyday moments in between.

Seeing it all come together is special. Knowing it started with a conversation about what home feels like to you makes it even better.

The messy middle:

Through the drywall dust, you can see the kitchen start to take shape. The choices we make together are beginning to feel real, and the space we've been dreaming up gets a little closer.

We’re here for the questions, the decisions and every step along the way. Next up: the finished kitchen.

Gus is ready for Halloween. His only concern? Whether “treat” is being used loosely. 🎃🐾

Our unofficial BG Kitchens employee takes greeting visitors seriously, but this week he’d like to be paid in dog treats.

What’s your pet dressing up as this year?

This week, we’re taking you through a kitchen transformation, from the before to the finishing touches.

A 64 year kitchen: wood cabinets, patterned flooring and a built-in shelving divider. These photos show where we started, with a peek at the work getting underway.

The plan: Remove wall betweeen third bedroom and kitchen to create one large space. Create a larger closet in the half bath off the kitchen. Move washer and dryer to prevent freezing pipes.

Follow along this week to see this kitchen take shape.

Cabinet color can look completely different depending on the light around it.

Natural light, overhead lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and even the time of day can all shift how a finish reads in your space. That is why choosing cabinetry is about more than picking a color you like on a sample.

We help you look at the whole picture.
