We believe in modern with soul. In luxury for everyday living. In minimilast interiors with maximum style. That simple done right is stunning.

And that interiors are the backdrop for the art and people you love. Kansas City & beyond.

A little room with its head in the clouds. For Cloud 9, our clients envisioned a nursery that felt peaceful and quiet, with just enough playfulness to invite discovery. Warm, limewashed walls create a soft, cloudlike atmosphere, while natural oak furnishings and a geometric wool rug ground the airy palette.

A few whimsical details bring the room to life, but our favorite is a delicate brass and cotton mobile that drifts with the gentlest breeze. A little movement, a little magic, and a space that finds its balance between stillness and wonder.

Fall is in the air, and we are ready for it. As the days get shorter and the sweaters come out, we're already dreaming of long evenings in with coffee tables that do more than hold your coffee. Bring on the season of staying in.

A before and after at Well Suited: A darker room doesn’t necessarily feel smaller. Sometimes, it brings everything into focus.

In this dining room, we traded the contrast of white millwork and blue-gray walls for one continuous, saturated color...carrying it across the walls, trim, and paneling to give the existing architecture greater depth and presence.

A sculptural brass-and-glass chandelier, black dining table, and cane-backed chairs sharpen the room’s lines, while a rust-colored richly patterned rug bring warmth underfoot. The result is dramatic but grounded: a dining room that set the tone for the rest of the home’s evolution.

It all starts with a Sharpie. Lisa's hand sketch becomes a digital rendering, then comes to life as a final space. The same design language, every step of the way.

Four years later, this is still one of the sweetest spaces we’ve had the chance to create.

Designed for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, Breathe was imagined as a real salon, not a clinical version of one. A place for a haircut, a manicure, a character wig, or simply a few minutes spent feeling a little more like yourself.

It’s a small space, but a good reminder that design can change how a moment feels.

Before a client ever sees a mood board, it looks something like this.

Samples are gathered. Materials are compared. Colors are shifted. Textures are tested. Pieces come and go.

Every element earns its place.

The final board should feel effortless. Getting there rarely is.

Seeing a video tour of our project Westside View earlier this week from was such a treat. While we worked on this home 12 years ago, it feels as fresh today as it did the day we finished. Have a look at some before and after shots, then be sure to check out his video link for a home tour. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1G1R3uYU5P/

We're honored to see this project featured by Historic Kansas City and The Kansas City Star. Opportunities like this don't come around often, and it was a privilege to work with Strata Architecture + Preservation to help steward a Frank Lloyd Wright home with the care, collaboration, and craftsmanship it deserves. While we're not quite ready to reveal the finished spaces, we're excited to share this behind-the-scenes look, and even more excited for what's to come. Stay tuned. https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17901390714057388/

We got a call that started with: "classic meets quirk. The last design team couldn't figure it out." The Hilltop Tudor was built in 1926. The original stair railing, shield motifs, bones that deserved respect. But its owners are anythign but traditional. They wanted a home that honored its history and reflected who they actually are: polished, eclectic, and not afraid of a little fiber art over the fireplace.

The secret to designing for historic homes isn't choosing between old and new. It's finding the tension between them and making them feel intentional. a 1926 tudor and a large-format contemporary photograph over the sofa aren't opposites- they're a conversation.

Do you live in an older home? What's the detail you'd never change?
