To say we're honored to help the East Dundee Fire District is an understatement. Thank you for the kind words about our team, they are pretty great! We're thrilled that we were able to donate pet oxygen masks to your department as part of Project Breathe™ to help keep our pets safe.

🚒🐾 HELPING OUR FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS BREATHE EASIER! 🐶❤️

The East Dundee & Countryside Fire Protection District would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Christina and Matt from Invisible Fence® Brand's Project Breathe™, along with their four-legged companions, Benny and Blue, for stopping by our fire station today!

Through their generous support, our Fire District received FIVE pet oxygen mask kits that will be placed on our fire apparatus, providing our firefighters with another valuable tool to help save the lives of pets during emergencies.

🐾 WHAT IS PROJECT BREATHE?

Founded in 2006 by Invisible Fence® Brand, Project Breathe™ is a nationwide initiative dedicated to helping fire departments and first responders save pets suffering from smoke inhalation during fires and other emergencies.

Unlike traditional oxygen masks designed for humans, these specially designed masks fit over an animal's muzzle, allowing firefighters to administer supplemental oxygen to pets that have been exposed to smoke.

Through this incredible program, more than 27,000 pet oxygen masks have been donated to first responders, helping give countless four-legged family members a better chance of survival.

🚒 MORE THAN JUST A DONATION!

Christina and Matt didn't just drop off equipment. They also spent time educating our firefighters on the proper use and application of these specialized oxygen masks.

And, of course, Benny and Blue were the stars of the visit! 🐕🐾 Their participation helped make this a memorable and valuable learning experience for our crews.

❤️ BECAUSE PETS ARE FAMILY, TOO!

When firefighters respond to a house fire, protecting human life will always be our first priority. But we also recognize that pets are beloved members of the families we serve.

Having this specialized equipment available on our apparatus gives our personnel an additional resource to provide potentially lifesaving care to animals rescued from smoke-filled environments.

On behalf of the entire East Dundee & Countryside Fire Protection District, thank you to Christina, Matt, Benny, Blue, Invisible Fence® Brand, and Project Breathe™ for your generosity, your time, and your commitment to protecting our community's pets!

We hope we never have to use these masks, but thanks to your generosity, we'll be better prepared if the need arises.

Trick-or-treaters are coming, and your pup is very excited about it. 🎃

Our indoor solutions can keep curious paws away from the front door, so the only surprises Halloween night are the costume kind. They’re great for trash cans, nurseries, laundry rooms, and more, too.

Some more Project Breathe® news!

There are no words to describe how excited and proud we feel when we get to bring Project Breathe® to local communities. A big thank you to the Center Township Fire Department for EVERYTHING they do and for allowing our team to help keep pets safe!

🐾❤️ A PAW-SOME DONATION FOR OUR FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS! ❤️🐾

Tonight, we were honored to receive an incredible donation from Invisible Fence of Pittsburgh through their Project Breathe program — providing our department with 3 pet oxygen masks! 🐶🐱🚒

In an emergency, our pets are more than just animals; they are family. Smoke inhalation can be just as life-threatening to our four-legged family members as it is to us. These specialized pet oxygen masks will help equip our firefighters with the tools needed to provide oxygen to pets suffering from smoke inhalation during a fire or other emergency.

We are excited to build on this donation by training our members in pet CPR this Thursday! This training, along with having these oxygen masks available, will help prepare our firefighters to better assist pets in need during emergencies.

This generous donation and training make a real difference in our community by giving us additional tools and skills to protect the people and pets we serve. While we always hope we never have to use them, being prepared could mean the difference between life and death for a beloved family pet.

From all of us at Center Township Fire Rescue, thank you to Invisible Fence of Pittsburgh and Project Breathe for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to keeping our community’s pets safe! Your support helps us better serve every member of our community — including the ones with four paws and a wagging tail. 🐾❤️
