How do you house Spotify's entire music and podcast production ecosystem — private studios, communal listening rooms, and a screening space — under one roof, each with acoustics tuned to its exact purpose?

Spotify At Mateo answers that question. WSDG designed the acoustics, electroacoustics, A/V systems, and production lighting for the 150,000 sq ft / 13,935 sq m campus in LA's historic Arts District. Hinged acoustic panels give Studio A's Live Room variable acoustic conditions on demand, sharing a purpose-built echo chamber with Studio B. Building Four's "Pod City" packs Spotify's flagship podcast studio plus 15 more podcast rooms around natural light and greenery, engineered in partnership with SPL.

The result: winner of the 2023 TEC Award in Studio Design.
