As an interior designer herself, founder Regan Billingsley (Regan Billingsley Interiors) understands the search for textiles that feel distinctive enough to give a space its own identity, while still being versatile enough to work within a thoughtful design scheme. That perspective shapes the collection, from handwoven pillows and throws to fabric by the yard, with pieces that pair traditional craftsmanship and cultural meaning with the needs of today’s interiors.

As a designer, I’m always thinking about what we choose to carry forward.⁠

The footloom has been part of Guatemala’s textile story for centuries, with techniques and knowledge passed from one generation of weavers to the next. Today, that history is still alive in the hands of the artisans we work with.⁠

It’s one of the things I admire most about Guatemalan culture, and one of the reasons I feel such a personal responsibility to approach these textiles with respect. Preserving craft doesn’t mean keeping it frozen in the past. It means valuing the knowledge behind it and finding thoughtful ways for it to continue living in the spaces we design today.⁠

Artisan Spotlight: Lidia Serech of Comalapa, Chimaltenango.

In Guatemala’s traditionally male-dominated footloom weaving world, Lidia is breaking convention. She has mastered the craft while creating her own textures and designs, weaving from her home alongside her son and two close friends.

Tradition, reimagined by the hands carrying it forward.

At the center is our Pez Lumbar Pillow, a celebration of the incredible way Guatemalan weavers translate animals into intricate woven motifs. Around it are a few details that capture life at the lake: threads from our Custom Color Program, a palm sun hat, fresh flowers, and a boat rope like those used every day to connect villages across the water.⁠

Inspired by traditional Guatemalan table textiles, our Panitos Fabric is handwoven by Alirio and his family in a quiet cream. The restrained palette gives it the versatility I’m always looking for as a designer, plenty of texture and character, but easy to pair with pattern and color.⁠
