We are the most experienced James Hardie Alliance Elite Contractor in Central Virginia. Our installers work 12 months a year installing HardiePlank® siding.

Your Hardie Plank® Siding and Replacement Window Experts

Blue Ridge Exteriors is locally owned by Paul Rzasa and Matt Neely, right here in Richmond Virginia. We specialize in the design and installation of HardiePlank® fiber cement siding, energy efficient vinyl replacement windows, railing systems, gutters and gutter guards throughout Central Virginia, Charlottesville, and Williamsburg. Together, we have over 40 years of combined experience in the home improvement industry. Our experience inspired us to form our own team to offer what many large Virginia home improvement contractors did not:

Service, Integrity, and Quality

Our vision was to create a company offering superior products, honest salesmanship, and highly skilled installation. To achieve these goals, we formed our own company and we have raised the standards of exterior remodeling in Central Virginia. We will personally see your project through from start to finish and have had the same trained James Hardie® HardiePlank® siding installers since our inception. You don’t have to worry about our crews coming off of a previous roof, deck or vinyl siding job.

We can tell you what makes Blue Ridge Exteriors, but we’d rather show you. It’s in the details of the installation. The way a project is managed from start to finish. The materials we choose to stand behind. And ultimately, the finished home our customers get to enjoy for years to come.

Since 2005, we’ve built Blue Ridge Exteriors around a pretty simple idea: do great work, treat people right, and let the results speak for themselves.

No tricks here... just a home transformation that feels like magic. 🎃✨

Kathleen and Michael S. decided it was time to give their house new life, replacing the original siding with James Hardie Mountain Sage and pairing it with Romabio limewashed brick. The result? A stunning refresh that has them thrilled every time they pull into the driveway.

"We highly recommend Blue Ridge Exteriors for their knowledge, skill, quality work, and customer service!" – Kathleen & Michael S.

As we head into weekend, we're sharing a fitting James Hardie siding color feature: Mountain Sage. A natural green that’s neither too light nor too dark, Mountain Sage is a great in-between. It pairs well with soft neutrals and will add character with its understated presence.

Some of the most important parts of your siding project may be things you’ll never think about once the job is complete.

The preparation. The flashing. The weather barrier. The transitions. The cuts. The corners. The areas where water could find its way in if something isn’t installed correctly. When those details are done right, you shouldn’t have to think about them. That’s kind of the point.

At Blue Ridge Exteriors, we believe what goes behind the finished exterior deserves just as much attention as what you see from the street.

When you’re comparing siding contractors, the details matter.

BRX Customer, Ryland C., had already received an estimate from another large siding company before reaching out to our Blue Ridge Exteriors team. The difference he noticed started before the project ever began. Read part of his ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ️Google review he left us:

“We met with Matt Neely, one of the co-owners, who took the time to explain the company's process and the products they offered. He then carefully inspected our home, taking numerous measurements and photographs while pointing out areas that needed attention.”

That same attention to detail continued throughout the project, from the craftsmanship and communication to the care shown for their home and property. In Ryland’s words:

“The thoroughness and professionalism of Blue Ridge Exteriors’ estimate made our decision an easy one.”

If you’re comparing siding contractors, compare more than the bottom line. Ask what’s included, who will be involved, and exactly what you can expect from start to finish.

Your home is too important for trial and error. Siding replacement involves a lot more than removing the old material and putting something new in its place. What’s discovered underneath, how problem areas are addressed, how every detail is finished, and how the project is managed all matter.

Experience helps you know what to look for before it becomes a problem. That’s why Blue Ridge Exteriors has spent more than two decades focused on doing exterior remodeling the right way for Central Virginia homeowners.

Before you choose a contractor, ask who will actually be working on your home and what experience stands behind them.
Then give us a call. We’d be happy to show you how we approach it.

One project. A completely different home. 💙 This transformation combined James Hardie siding in Evening Blue with new windows, giving the entire exterior a cleaner, updated look from top to bottom.

Evening Blue brings plenty of personality without feeling trendy, while the crisp window details create contrast that makes the color stand out even more.

When siding and windows both need attention, thinking about them together can create a much more cohesive finished exterior.

Featuring: James Hardie® Evening Blue siding + new Pella Windows and Doors Impervia Fiberglass windows

Thinking about more than siding? Blue Ridge Exteriors can help you look at the bigger picture.
